Full slate of 7 league game across 3 days plus full slate of weekend action

1. Wisconsin
2. Purdue
3. Maryland
4. Northwestern
5. Michigan State
6. Indiana
7. Minnesota
8. Iowa
9. Michigan
10. Ohio State
11. Nebraska
12. Penn State
13. Illinois
14. Rutgers

Maryland at Penn State...because the Terps suffered a rare loss I think they come out focused for this, PSU will not play as bad as they did vs RU but I do not think they have the balls to win this

Illinois at Northwestern....Lindsey still out for Northwestern but they should still have enough to hold off sagging Illini

Michigan State at Michigan....huge game for both programs, almost a must win for Michigan, MSU is the better team but I think Beilein will have his team desperate for the win

Rutgers at Ohio State....OSU kept slim NCAA hopes alive with win over Michigan. If Motta has their attention, OSU rolls however we havent seen much of that, if RU is allowed to keep pace early they will tough to brush off

Iowa at Minnesota...resurgent Iowa has Jok back and can make NCAA statement with road win, Minny halted the skid with win over Illini and need to keep things rolling and will in a squeaker.

Purdue at Indiana....Hoosiers have faced a brutal Big 10 schedule and here is their shot for a big win. Instate rival coming in off of a big victory, things are setting up for the upset here

Wisconsin at Nebraska....Nebby is dangerous at home but I think they are beginning to fade. Wisky up to #7 will take care of business

Ohio State beats Michigan at Michigan this week and Michigan ranked higher? Hmmmmm

I really want to beat michigan this year, since we never have done that.

If Michigan state takes down Michigan I'd move them up in to the 1-4 tier. 6 thru 13 would all be the same teams wearing different uniforms. Perhaps Illinois is close to leaving and hanging out with us.

one game...Nebraska beat Indiana but that does not mean they should be rated higher, ditto for Michigan State over Northwestern and Rutgers over Penn State

well congrats to PSU and Chambers for the bounceback. Bad loss for Maryland and really hurts their chance for the league title. This is the thing with PSU, they get these wins, then follow it up with bad performances and losses...lets see where they go from here

RU seems to be able to beat teams like PSU and Nebby and those teams have scored upsets over top schools yet I still do not think the transitive property applies just yet

Just when you were ready to throw Illinois into the scrapheat at the bottom along with RU, they are up 2 with a minute to go. This could be a costly loss for Northwestern

well Illinois has some talent at guard and some size. Matchup wise they could be an issue even though on paper you would think RU has a great shot. If Illinois comes to play like they did tonight, they will be a tough out

Bad losses for Northwestern, Maryland and MSU. Going to hurt them all seeding wise. Guessing Michigan lives another day.

the Michigan game is insane...much like they did to Indiana, an absolute hammering....55-29 at half. They needed this one for sure. How crazy is this conference.

First road win by Illinois this year and stops a 9 game road skid. Northwestern has lost two in a row without Lindsay so the NCAA may take that into consideration but they have two toughies coming up so still work to do for them. Illinois 68-61

No and no.

And no I can't leave snowblower is basement all winter. I really thought I was going to make it all winter without it.

with a win Iowa is just a half game out of a bye in the Big 10 tourney...wow Fran doing a great job this year...Little Ricky NEEDS this one though

Minnesota dominates the 2nd OT and wins 101-89..now up to 17-7/5-6 in the Big 10
Good for us that it went double overtime. Pitino probably gives them tomorrow off , quick practice on Friday and get on the plane. They are a real good team but happy that they might be a little exhausted plus coming off a high with the win. Seems to be the trend in the Big Ten after an emotional game.

by the pattern you would think so. I think Minny is better than PSU and more explosive. The thing is what RU team shows up at the RAC...so far we have only played one solid game at the RAC. we played an okay half vs Northwestern and then our O went into a big crapper in the 2nd half. The good thing about Minny is that they do not play alot of defense, the bad news is that they have explosive guards and can score in bunches so we will need an defensive effort like the last two games if not this will turn into Iowa redux. I expect a very close game, not ready to make a prediction yet

They are rated #12 in the nation in defensive efficiency. #11 in effective FG% #3 in blocks.

The game on Saturday will be in the 60s, possibly low 60/high 50s

Dicey situation in end of IU game as 1 ref called charge on bryant and 1 ref called block on swanigan. They both had 4 fouls. They called double foul basket didn't count, IU maintained possession and both guys fouled out

It was a charge, but contrary to what announcers said I liked what refs came up with. In my mind I was thinking jump ball, but not sure that was legally an option.

Yet the refs don't think twice about taking out RU's best player on a really bad call.

New rankings

1. Wisconsin
2. Purdue
3. Maryland
4. Northwestern
5. Minnesota
6. Michigan State
7. Indiana
8. Michigan
9. Iowa
10. Ohio State
11. Nebraska
12. Penn State
13. Illinois
14. Rutgers

weekend games.....

Minnesota at Rutgers
Penn State at Illinois
Ohio State at Maryland
Iowa at Michigan State

Michigan at Indiana
Northwestern at Wisconsin

wouldnt be surprised to see any team win their games. Indiana really needs that game agaisnt Michigan, they were embarrassed by the Wolverines a few weeks ago...Michigan also needs to the win but I do not see them as desperate. Going to be tough for Northwestern to pick off Wisconsin without Lindsay. Can Little Ricky not slip up on the road? Can Illinois keep their slim NCAA hopes alive? Will Maryland bounce back? Which Michigan State team shows up?
