FYI, when Maryland beat Illinois earlier this season, the Illini were without their starting Euro-big at the 5. That will be a very tough game for the Terrapins to get past.

Pike begins his last offseason 🙏
If you already know the coach is staying one more season, praying for him to get fired after that season is pretty stupid. Might as well hope for a national championship instead. If the season ends and it is bad, then you can hope for him to get fired.

Best case is he follows Jay Wright, Jimmy Larranaga, and Coach K and realizes the game has passed him by and retires.

Otherwise Pike is ours until 2030 as I don’t see us buying out his insanely outsized contract.

The big question is will he wallow in failure until he extracts every dollar he can from RU or does his pride lead him to retirement.

Only prediction is that they’ll be no shockers. In my opinion, the way the league is so balanced any team beating any other team wouldn’t be a shocker.

Again, would the best case not be that he follows those coaches.. by winning multiple national championships? I get that you don't think that will happen but presumably that is what you hope for?
