plural----"When you're the head football coach, the people who donate to your program to allow you to have the program the way we do, they're important,'' Flood said. "And you want to make sure you always have communication with them.''-----from today's press---guess many on here are not big donors

For some, the allure of having the access they have for the small price they are paying compared to their peers makes it worth it. Towers comes in with a few hundred thousand that may never come in to play and in return almost becomes recruiting coordinator. At Michigan or Penn State you would barely get invited to a closed practice for that level of money. Here at RU we let one or two donors call all of the shots. The Roth Family has donated millions to UM. We have 1 guy who can and has done that and we put him on the BOG for it.

Rutgers is indeed the Honda Accord of higher education.

press reports says donors not donor--go argue with their reporting

I can't believe anyone still listens to what Fludd has to say, he is one of the biggest bulksh×tters out there. He has lied on more than one occasion to try to put himself in a better light, I suspect he is doing the same here.

He never says directly what he wants to say, he simply offers a suggestion and everyone takes it as a true statement. Like when he was asked about Barnwells grade situation and his involvement in trying to get the grade changed, he goes on a mini-rant about how Rutgers has T grades and how they worked...leading everyone to believe that Barnwell was waiting for a response to something legal and appropiate, when in reality Fludd knew all along that Barnwell flat out failed the class and wasn't waiting for a T grade or grades from missed assignments or anything other than a grade change that Fludd himself suggested.

Fludd is suggesting that several big donors are supporting him but it's just that, a suggestion, one that many will take as truth because that's what the good guy Fludd said...and he'd never lie to save his job, right?

Lol you believe Flood...haha haha is all I have to say

Of course when you're fighting for your job in such a public forum, you're going to go out of your way to put everything in the best light possible no matter how far fetched it may be.

I agree it's all white noise right now. No reason to fret over it.

Then, you're not very well connected are you?

Going to be interesting to see if Towers ponies up. I hope RU sics every plaintiff lawyer in NJ on him if tries to back out
