Was OD suppose to be a solid team this year? There will usually be a major difference between a power conference school and a mid-major.
They returned most of key guys. Maryland first game relying on Wiggins and others who didn't have to carry much weight last season.

Nice win by Purdue last night. Liberty if I recall was a good squad last year.

The Terps were favored only by 6.5.

I think it's a rebuilding year, but Maryland will be better than I was thinking over the summer. The grad transfers in the front court are solid, and Chol Marial (7'2") is much healthier...

edit: I'm not actually sure that they are grad transfers, actually. Maybe just plain transfers. I'm not in basketball mode.

Friday morning edit: they just announced that a high school forward from Milwaukee, who seems to be an absolute stud, is skipping his senior year and coming a year early (ie, will join the team next month). I don't see how that's possible, but I have stopped understanding the logistics of recruiting and NCAA rules long ago. Somehow, because of COVID rules, he will have 4 years of eligibility AFTER this season. But whatevs.

James Graham: "That's the big thing. I just can't wait to get there and play," he said. "It's gotten too easy in high school. The competition just isn't there. In the fall league, I averaged like 40 a game. I don't want to waste my time."

Purdue has a freshman that is 7’4”. Zach Edie. Needs to develop but decent. Can see Cliff stuffing on him and RAC going wild. !

Indiana's beating Providence by 13 at halftime but I'm not very impressed by them. They can't shoot very well, they just destroyed the Friars on the glass which is something we should be able to neutralize.
