Excited to attend media day.

Thanks to Hobbs & Barchi.

BigTen at all time high.

Excited about foundation and culture

Stability and disipline in program.

QB battle is open between four guys (add Allen)

One or two QB to be identified quickly.

Hamilton will not be 100% but will be close at 286 pounds.

Have keys to build into a better BigTen team in future.

Before taking job asked are we committed to BigTen with support.

Rilvary with Michigan? Not yet they done more than we have.

July is worrysome month with more free time but all months are that way.

Head coach more time management than as an assistant.

Create culture in lockerroom where recruits wanted to come in.

WHat I took out of that is exactly what the commentators did as well.

Ash spoke about how the first thing they did as a staff was come in and recruit the guys currently in the locker room. Once he got them that is when they can go out and recruit for the program.

Ash:

Great event and energy here.

Why spread O? Hard to defend. He knows had to defend it.

Defined our culture and communicated to the players.

Will be in on the D meetings.

Toughness effort execution is Rutgers.

Competition keeps things fun ie. arm wrestling. shoot hoops before meetings

QB must be trusted by coaches and players and is committed to learn and move the sticks.

Must have leadership to be successful and sacfifice and committment

Behaved properly during off season.

NJ recruiting foundation was fixing the culture and players recruiting.

Success this year is hard nosed physical with best football at end of season

"None of the three holdover quarterbacks in Rutgers’ program seized the starting job during the spring, or even established an edge.
And that makes the addition of a new entrant in the sweepstakes even more intriguing.
Rutgers coach Chris Ash said Monday on the first day of Big Ten media days that the competition will be between four signalcallers, beginning next month."

Player interviews on BTN, if you want to watch for yourself.

I must say, these guys are really well-spoken and represent Rutgers well. I can see why they are leaders of the team. Go Knights!!!

Not many comments
The faux heatwave (that appears to be over down the shore), Aroldis Chapman, movie lines and golf are more interesting.

Thanks for posting the videos and links. Thought that Darius, Andre and JPO did an outstanding job and are fine representatives of the Scarlet Knights. Hoping Andre has a breakout season this year.

I thought Ash presented himself and the program well at his media day appearance. He is very excited about the program. It also seems that he had the right idea with recruiting the current players first before working on h.s. recruiting. All of them seem totally bought in (and if I remember right, there was at least a question as to how a guy like Hamilton would take the coaching change).

Not really important, but Ash sure is a fast talker. He could afford to slow down just a bit.
