It seems a couple of players want out of Cuse. BJ Johnson is from PA and was offered initially by Rutgers. Is it worth reaching out to him to see if he wants to transfer. He is a 6 6 wing. Outside of Cuse his next best offers were from PSU, RU, St Joes, and UMass.

If he is interested I wonder if we can get an NCAA exception for him to be eligible next season.

Cuse

The NCAA should allow anyone who wants to transfer as well as any recruits out of their LOI. They weren't involved in this widespread cheating by Syracuse, and shouldn't be punished for it.

As I recall the last transfers from Syracuse to RU were Keith Hughes and Earl Duncan. They led us to the NCAA in the 1990-91 season.

This week, NCAA got rid of the hardship immediate eligibility transfer.

Also, since Syracuse has a top recruiting class coming in and can be at full scholarships this coming season, CUSE, just like other schools, push out players that really don't have a future...as Johnson, even after 2 years at CUSE, averaged just 4 pts per game...and Patterson, averaged just 2.5 pts this season.

In contrast to those great transfers, BJ Johnson looks like a bust at Cuse. As a sophmore on an unusually weak Cuse team, he averaged 14 minutes with pretty awful stats.

BJ Johnson to LaSalle, where his father played.
