Not surprised, if it happens. There was speculation that the PA college mergers would likely eliminate or consolidate wrestling to 2 programs, Lock Haven/Bloomsburg (Commonwealth UPenn) and Clarion/Edinboro (WestPenn).
It’s a damn shame , I wrestled D3 and we would go up and train at bloom during the Stutz years and it’s a pretty cool place , a college town surrounded by nothing but farmland in central PA, wrestling is the only D1 sport ..with a little support and some fan building and they would be the biggest draw in town but the administration hasn’t given a damn in about 30 years and they are a joke and about to get axed but the place has potential to be a top 20 maybe even top 15 program yearly based on location for recruiting and how easy it is to get into Bloomsburg admissions wise …I hope Willie saves the program
Seems Bloom was saved and posted the HC opening to be filled.
