This is a good idea. Bring it to the new AD this off season. That was my original solution. It was the exact thing that I sent to Julie, et al, at the beginning of the '14 season.

Your definition of common sense and mine must totally differ. My point was common sense tells you if you if you break the law you suffer the results. You don't make mommy and daddy rules. As for the speed limit thing take that up with Armin he raised that dumb 1 mph argument not me.
I don't disagree, and am willing to face the consequences of breaking a law if caught doing so. But I do not respect and will continue to widely flout senseless laws like those, and do everything in my power not to get caught, like the great American that I am. All this doesn't change the fact that the police have power of discretion, and the university's administration has chosen to pay an unnecessary number of them to aggressively police tailgating lots.
the lack of common sense is astounding and equally terrifyingWas in the blue lot saturday. A group of three MC Sheriffs literally stood in the middle of our tailgate to "Observe" a group of 10 kids who were with adults at the tailgate next to us. Based on them observing the kids the cops thought that one or more looked intoxicated. i was privy to the conversation between the two sheriffs because they were standing smack in the middle of our tailgate. Based on my own observation the kids were behaving just fine and i did not notice any alcohol consumption by any of the although a few were drinking from red plastic solo cups! So the officer in charge approaches them and points out that one of them "seems" intoxicated. The individual insists he isn't and soon the adults who were in the group enter the conversation. They insist none of the youth have been drinking. after a few tense moments the cops left having made no arrests. I saw this same group of three MC sheriffs do this same thing to two other groups before I went back to our tailgate. There is a big difference between a cop responding to asked for help and going out of their way to create a situation. The group of MC Sheriffs I observed were clearly looking to create a situation for no reason I could observe other than to exercise their power. It is a wrong application of the power we entrust them with.
