Wiscy's Total O coming in: 403 ypg, 26 ppg
Wiscy through 3q: 348 and 41

RU Total O coming in: 426.6 and 30.4
RU through 3q: 104 and 3

Ugh.

Don't know if I have ever seen a team allow as many wide open receivers as Rutgers does week after week. Has been happening with Flood from AAC to today. Makes other teams look pretty damn good when there is never a defender anywhere near the guy being targeted.

I blame the O and specials for some of the problems on defense today. Not all, of course, but always a short field and little rest.

D has competed hard today, but a ton of short fields. This one is on the offense and coaching.

No, the Indiana game was clearly more about the defense.

But our D has been decimated by academics, injuries and arrests.. particularly the DBs. It is not really surprising that our 3rd down D sux because it is the DBs that have to stop that... even if they run and need 9.. its a DB that has to stop him at 7-8 and not let him take it to the house.

The way this wholegame went is on the O. On the first drive, Flood relied on running the ball.. and made zero adjustments. You'd think a playaction somewhere around their 30 when they were cheating up 9 in the box could have worked. Same goes for every run run pass series afterward. We had these tight formations begging the D to stack against the run and blitz.. and they did.

The Agudosi play (5 yards) was about 1/3rd of our offensive output on the day. WOW!

So....remember that 4PPG against at home, for Wisconsin, that everybody told me was a "product of a lousy schedule"?? Well, if not for a pick-6 on a poorly thrown ball, believe it or not, we would have LOWERED that average LOL! Oh well...

Agree GoodOl, after our first drive where we ran well Wisky made adjustments and we kept doing the same thing. Our rb's were just running into piles of bodies with the incomprehensible tight formations.

repeated beatdowns are the currency for change. If change is what you want, enduring games like this is what you must do.

The true problem is it takes 1 drive for the opposition to figure out the game plan, they make adjustments we dont...game over.

Recruiting and lack of coaching them up. It's on the coaches. They need to be fired NOW
