Bruce Beck Camp

Is there a Steve Somers “Schmoozer” course of study? Or a Fooch course of study?

Anyone have anymore information on this?

It's a great camp and a tremendous experience for anyone interested in sports broadcasting!!! Bruce is a awesome teacher and terrific to work with!!! Our son attended Bruce's camp for three summers, and went on to do both play-by-play and Public Address Announcing in high school and at RU, before moving on to become a professional broadcast journalist after graduating RU. Bruce has kept in touch with our son all these years later, and Bruce was kind enough to serve as one of our son's references when he graduated from college and looked for a professional career in broadcasting. Our family can't speak highly enough about Bruce, and of course, on top of that, he's an RU fan!!!

Unfortunately there was an obituary in today's Ledger announcing the passing of Bruce Beck's mother.

Bruce is a credit to his profession, to Rutgers, and above all, to his family.

His virtual camp this year included guest appearances by Rutgers alums, Shaun O'Hara and Ray Lucas.

Bruce became a first time grandfather back in April of 2019.

That said, it's very sad to read that he just lost his mother yesterday, she was 91 and a great-grandmother. RIP
