You who didn't go to the game today against a ranked opponent and you could have? Don't complain we lost.
Those that sat on their butts while WIsconisn fans were going crazy? Don't complain we lost.
Our fans are terrible sometimes.
Proud of the team, and if we had even 50/50 fans there we would have won. It was a home game for Wisconsin.
Still glad I came up.

Better fans and we would have made free throws?

While Wisconsin fans were making tons of noise???? That can rattle the best free throw shooters. If you were there you'd understand.

It was a wisconsin home game with a decent turnout by the visiting fans...lol

Better fans and Gettys would be a cross between Wilt Chamberlain and Fred Astaire? OK, thanks for sharing.

Some asshat said i was an idiot for saying 75-25 wisco dans. Hindsight, yes I was an idiot as it was about 90/10. That guy mustve thought it was 60/40, not sure what game he was a

Your the one who doesn't understand. We are terrible at the free throw line in an empty gym. I love the direction Pikiell has us in but we would be better off with high school players shooting free throws.

please stop blaming the fans, turnout was predictable for this game, it was a home game taken from the RAC and moved to MSG. For a program that has gone 4-42 in the Big 10 what kind of turnout did you expect. RU shouldnt be playing this game until the program is on better ground. This was a home game for Wisky with their hoops and hockey team playing and RU took it up the ass, apparently Delaney said that schools volunteered to play in this game, so if so we were not forced..expect similar stuff with more games at Yankee Stadium

Well wasn't this supposed to be a home game. Don't think that noise would have occurred at the RAC. But whatever the B1G wants, hell maybe next year they'll just want our 1st born. Moving this game was a huge injustice to these kids who are struggling to even win a game. But Hobbs and Delaney will call it a huge success as we lose again and I'm not talking about just the score.

Stop it. Excuses. When we stop making excuses we might actually awake the giant.

It didn't help that they had a double header with hockey. Most got both and they get a day in NYC. It's a good deal for Wisconsin fans.

I for one will apologize for not being there. Season ticket holder for years but I knew I would be flying in late last night.

But this post is correct and most people are forgetting about. To Wisky fans this was a great weekend for them and their fans living in the area. But the bottom line is only one thing, winning. When RU is back in a few years you will see larger crowds. It is hard to forget about 20 years of bad basketball.

Rutgers fans are fair weather fans. Same with football. If we're good this game sells out.

If you were at the Seton Hall game we were probably half of the crowd if not more.

Here is the number one reason why the game should of been and was played at the Garden................Exposure. Plenty of people saw a very gritty team in a program being built by the right coaches and in the right way. The Big Ten know knows that the days of beating us 90-38 are over.

And what do you think the chances would of been that David Stern is there is he has to travel to Piscataway?

I was at the game behind the RU bench. Place was electric but unfortunately 80/20 Wisconsin. RU played absolutely insane defense. Even considering 1 player essentially beat us.

The game was decided when RU was up 4 with about 90 sec to play. Wisc pressed and RU got 2 break aways out of it. Both resulted in a foul of an RU player within 3 ft of the basket. Neither resulted in points !!! SA could've dunked the ball for the win ! That was the game

Smarty pants....we're already in the B1G. Does anyone else in the league do this?
Smarty pants? OK, numb nuts, Penn State and Michigan had a hoops/hockey doubleheader last year in MSG. PSU gave up a home game. Oh, the humanity.

Next year it's Minny and Ohio State for hoops. In 2019 it will be Illinois and Maryland. Minny and Maryland will give up home games to play at MSG.

So, yeah, I guess someone else does it. OK?

I said this in another post about our fans at MSG:

There were LIKELY more RU fans there than you think (it was NOT 90/10 lol...), however, our fans have a major complex when at MSG. Most don't wear red, most don't cheer, and very few get off their butts, when we play there. Other than the NIT and 1 or 2 BET games, bottom line, that's the case.

I don't know if you are referring to me, but I said you were "foolish" for saying that it was a "good thing" that Jonathan Laurent was not available to play today. Go back and read more carefully. And as it turns out, it was not a "good thing" because he, as the teams best foul shooter, would have been in the game down the stretch. If he had been the one that was fouled it might've been a different outcome.

you can yell at me if you would like , but I had no interest in going to the city to see the game

I was at our Wisconsin home game when we won..... I probably would have gone to if this was at home

sorry, don't move games to the city

"(MSG) is a great place to play,'' Pikiell added. "I think our fans (and) students are going to come out. So I'm excited about that, an opportunity to play there. But the RAC is where I like to play my games.''

^^THIS^^^ every Big Ten team has a lot of fans in this area. Wisky is ranked in both BBALL and HOCKEY and are coming off a Final Four and a elite 8 more recently.

Rutgers fans watching this on TV.. seeing the news reports on it.. will have MORE interest next season. And recruits will know Rutgers now has a real coach.. and some spirit on this team. All we need now are the players.

There was no more than 15% RU fans there but enough with the fan bashing. Rutgers hasn't made the stinkin tournament since 1991 and we were literally one of if not the worst programs the past couple years. What do people expect. We showed up in droves at SHU and everyone's dying for Pikell to turn this thing around. Give it a couple more years.

Excuse. Narrative has been overwhelmingly positive this year.

what are the excuses, I am glad you enjoyed the game but it should be at the RAC
1. Game at MSG. Game is closer for some than a game at the RAC and an easy ride to the city. Game is also on a Saturday.
2.4-42. The narrative has been overwhelmingly positive this year and we know it's moving in the right direction. What are we competing with? Monster truck st prudential center?
No excuse Wisconsin fans should have greatly outnumbered ours-and make more noise to boot. I'm embarrassed, to be honest.

No excuse from me I live in Philly and made it to the game today and the SHU game.

But too bad the average fan doesn't see 1-7 in the conference as positive. And when was the last time we won a BIG10 road game? O wait.

Give it time and stop bashing our own.

I can't stand for more than five minutes and when I did I was told to sit down by RU fans. smdh! Will never understand them.
