Carino Article on Myles Johnson and His Return East

An interesting question that the article touched upon.

Is it more satisfying for a player like Myles who is very focused on academics and a career outside basketball to be playing a smaller role on a team that is in the Sweet 16 than if he had stayed at Rutgers and had a larger role, but the team did not advance any further in the tournament?

IMO, I would say yes. Couple that with his being closer to home and at UCLA, which has fantastic weather and is a top 5 public university, and it was the right move for him.

Maybe different if he was not so focused on academics and had NBA aspirations.

Will be interesting to see if he stays to play another year, or if he takes his Master's and goes to work.

I'll root for Myles anytime and everytime but especially against their opponent tonight!
