I hope LC doesn't regret staying that extra year. Even though he missed a vast chuck of the season, I doubt we would have won more than two games without him. He did get the record for TD's so that is a plus. Now we can wait and see how high he goes in the draft.
As for Rettig, I doubt his total time on the field gave him the total of one game even with the first half to start the season. I fully expect him to look at a division drop so he can play immediately next season and I wish him nothing but the best. I think CL is a tough kid and I appreciate his efforts. But, he is not the guy who will lead this program to success.
Not knowing what will happen at the top, I am afraid that we are in a dreadful negative spiral and it will lead to seasons like we have not seen since Shea. Tired of hearing about how young we are and game plans that look like they were done by high school kids.

If Flood stays, how can he not use Laviano again? He certainly has the experience and I believe Flood just doesn't think Rettig has the goods.

If somebody else in HC, I think Rettig will still have a huge uphill battle to take the job.

Totally depends. If they being in someone who isn't a total buffo why would Retrig have an uphill climb. Especially if the guy watches what CL did. Experience isn't the be all end all. He's not a bad kid but I don't think his resume this year is something that would wow a coach who actually isn't as bad as Elmer Fludd

What I don't understand is how Laviano looks better in practice. Announcers mentioned they saw a couple of practices and Laviano was clearly better than Rettig. Does he play that much worse in games.....continually.......game after game?

CL CAN'T look the same in practice and games. If that were true, what must Rettig look like in practice? Can we have TWO QBs that are that bad?

So, what did Flood see in Rettig that made him want him here? And what did he subsequently do in practice that Flood lost all faith in him? Or is it Flood who is oblivious to reality of the situation? Does he realy think that Laviano is the answer, and will force feed him, regardless of the results?

And what do the players, especially the seniors (this was their last shot), think of what was transpiring? I never heard of any leaks of players to play Rettig. Or that CL was not wanted. Will we now?

why are you kidding me?

QB play was not the issue today! Our defense although young needs a complete overhaul starting with the DC.

Quarterback play will clearly be an issue now that Leonte Carroo has finished his Rutgers tenure and will be entering the NFL draft.

What's kind of funny are the continual calls for ditching the pro set but never threads wondering wtf is the deal with the D. It's been a disaster at times even under GS. Flood is just stuck. He believes what he believes even though he has no back ground on either side of the ball ever creating a game plan until he was promoted.

Insanity really.
