CFP Rankings--SEC, SEC!!! -No Washington in Top 4

The viewpoint that Washington should be ranked No. 4 is just as valid as the one that feels it's OK that Texas A&M is ahead of Washington as of November 1.

I'd just prefer people to come out and say, "Washington's in a power conference and undefeated, so I think they should be ahead of Texas A&M." For me, that's an outdated and simplistic way to think, but at least it's something. Trying to argue "resume" between the two teams is silly because A&M will come out ahead every time.

Because of SEC bias, sure. What teams are really so good on A&M's wins list? If you want to give it credit for brand name balloons like Tennessee, do the same for UW (Stanford, Oregon).

Agree it'll shake out by playoffs (more or less), but stupid start. Think the committee just wanted to put a fingerprint on it.

Go back through the thread. We've already gone over the respective schedules, and A&M's is stronger, regardless of any real or perceived SEC bias.

You conveniently ignored A&M's win against Auburn, but let's look at the teams you did name. Tennessee blew out a Virginia Tech team that's on track to play in the ACC title game and also beat Florida. The teams Tennessee has beat are 28-12 combined

Combined record of teams Stanford has beat? 18-22. Oregon's FBS wins are against 2-6 Virginia and 5-4 Arizona State.

Again, if you believe Washington should be ranked ahead of Texas A&M, trying to compare their respective resumes is the last thing you want to do. Just keep pointing to the zero in the loss column.

Don't have a problem with A'M'. Tennessee also almost lost to Appalachain State, so I think they are a little overrated.

Are you saying Tenn hasn't been overrated this year? You lose.

Maybe it's just that their big stadium turns the world completely upside down.

As an A&M fan, I'm just happy they're in the conversation in Nov...it may not last, but that has not happened in a while!

That being said, UW is well deserving of a playoff spot A&M is only marginally so...that's why you play the games...

Overrated in regards to what? In the context of the conversation here, if you're saying UT isn't a quality win for A&M, especially in comparison with Washington's wins, you're dead wrong.
