Cheapskates better not sell out again for PSU

Does anybody here actually think they are going to somehow persuade some anonymous stranger that they should adopt your rules for how they should redistribute their property? I mean, I get that lots of posts are just expressing opinions about how they feel about it. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But it seems pretty clear that nobody is persuading anybody of anything. Which is understandable, right? I don't GAF what anybody anywhere, not family or friends, anybody, thinks I should do with my property. Other than legal constraints, it's nobody else's business and I'd laughingly ignore any such "instruction" unless it's an opinion I asked for in the first place.

However, if I'm wrong, and some of you can actually be persuaded by other's rules for distributing your property simply because of an internet forum post, then listen up.

Send me all your money and account numbers and so forth. Do it now!

And if that wasn't persuasive enough, let me just add that you cheapskates better not sell me out!

I bet that totally convinced you, amirite?

Who’s buying my ticket?

You don't even live in NJ (thankfully for us). When was the last time you held season tickets?

I doubt you'd even buy to sell to opposing fans, would distract from being a troll. Worry about pickleball and riding a golf cart around the Villages.
@NotInRHouse

2015. LL seats in FB and MBB for more than 25 years before moving to a golf community in Sarasota FL area.

How about you fess up and tell the board about your qualifications as an RU fan? I doubt you have the culyones to be transparent about that. You’d rather be an anonymous keyboard warrior and harass others.

Forget about trying to control who other RU fans can or can't sell their extra tickets to.. As was mentioned in previous posts, improving the quality of RU football will help to decrease the problem of obnoxious opposing fans by decreasing the amount of tickets available to them, and by decreasing the amount of game situations that result in rude opposing team fans being tempted to gloat or taunt... And anyway, the Penn State method for handling undesirable opposing team fans seems preferable.... ☺️

This. Win and all these "problems" go away on their own.

Ok but we’re NOT deliberately selling to Michigan fans as all your posts have been suggesting
But someone was, no?

That is really my only complaint/issue on the matter.

And whether true or not…none of us should be cool with that.

All good. Don’t really have an issue with your thinking.

It’s those thinking a season ticket holder for 15+ years placing his tickets on stubhub is a “horrible fan”. That’s my issue

And we have students selling their free tickets on Stubhub...the student ticketing process needs to be changed...

Yeah, I covered that one earlier:

With Stub Hub and the Ticket Board you do lose some control over who is really buying them. No issue there.

i have NO issue with you. @NotInRHouse thinks im deliberately selling to Michigan fans. He/she has to acknowledge im not at some point, no?!

I honestly blame Rutgers for this Stubhub deal they made. They're dumping tix and making it so easy for Rutgers "loyal fans" to do so as well. Trying to squeeze every buck out of the season they can given the fiscal mess. But it is not a recipe for fun and loyalty.
Its hard enough going to a game watching this offense. But in the last two games you've actually experienced a win and a first half atmosphere against the #4 Team unlike anything we've had in a while. I'm hoping for (a bit of) a game vs. State Penn. A little pride. BUT...
If after 45 years of going pretty much every home game it continues like it did for UM then I'll be done soon. Even thru the Shea years it was never like this. And I'm talking about feeling like a visitor in my own stadium.
Blame the team, blame the school, blame Stughub, blame the fans.. IDK.

To be totally honest. PSU (and now UM) are the two games I would either give to somebody I know will at least NOT support the visitors or eat them. I refuse to put a PSU fan in my seats. Glad its not just me and I can't/shouldn't tell others what to do.
There is no way to stop the State Penn fans from coming. They travel well, no matter where their team is playing. Can’t get mad at the fans who sell. Not when coaches who get fired still collect from the U while they are working for another program as analyst or consultant

You can when they do it directly.

OF course not. But what does this have to do with coaches under contract that the school made and choose to fire them?
PSU will own 30% of SHI sat. There were thousands of seats for sale that the school put up on stubhub and also sold at NJ Costcos earlier this year. I get that. What I don't get is having them fill the core season tix locations like mine that were sold out from day 1 and not part of that deal.
And for the fans in these sections..you just had an amazing half at home and a solid game by Gavin who looks like he is getting it. NOW you're going to sell?
I just sold my 1 extra tix. To a Rutgers fan on this site. Took no effort because I wasn't trying to make profit. But honestly if the school doesn't care then WTF can I do accept adjust to it. Which honestly could mean not going in the future so I don't feel abused at my own house.
Whatever.

LOL. Really? All your pals tried to "investigate" me and then when it turned out that everything I have said about myself is true, they threw a tantrum and made up whatever they wanted.

Everyone here knows I was in school for 06. I have had LL football tickets since I graduated law school and never once sold them.

Anything else or just licking your wounds from last week?

The English language is easy. You should know this.

Deliberate risk isn't the same as deliberately selling. You know that, right?

Bottom line:
Season ticket holders at ALL programs sell tickets every week for many reasons.

Sometimes people with season tix can't make a given game.
Some may even buy season tix with the intent of selling some or all of them. That's the same everywhere.

When we are winning, it becomes much more likely that other RU fans will be buying those tickets. Once again, the solution to the problem is start winning.

Ok but on page 7 of this thread you says fans here were deliberately selling to opposing teams by putting stubhub. So you’re admitting there’s a difference? Hence admitting you’ve been wrong the past 8 pages of this thread?

LOL

Let me know if this is is slow enough

People who put their tickets on StubHub

With me still?

OK

Rather than knowingly selling to RU fans

Still here?

When they know a big opposing fanbase is coming to town...

Are not real fans.

And finally, my point was you don't have what you saw on the west side of the stadium in other B1G stadiums because they don't have fans trying to sell to opposing teams to make a buck.

Here is the message from you. People who put on stubhub aren’t “trying to sell to opposing teams”.

You basically just admitted that was false.

Sure, fans who put on stubhub know the risk ot other fanbases buying. That risk would be much less if we put a better product on the field.

People at other P5 programs buy season Tix to sell the best games? Really? No, they sell the crap games.

Thank you.
That's been my only issue from the start of this thread. You buy season Tix to be part of the core loyal group and not be expecting to be sitting amongst a hoard if loud vocal visiting and celebrating fans.
That would explain why I'm always able to get great seats to Rutgers road games. Hiyoooooo!
Mike. You sat 10 rows above me at Cuse in the Rutgers area and you got your bc Tix from your friend the head coach.

Getting a pair of Tix or even a few more is not the issue. It's the total sellout of 30% of the sections.

Having opposing fans high fiving each other over my head as I sit in my "premium" seats for which I pay a sizable seat license makes me (and my family members) want to watch from home. This is a problem that Rutgers needs to address, even if it means upgrading season tickets for less money to fill in the premium sections.

Agree. Stooges like NIRH blame STH’s for selling home game tix to Stubhub, but RU is the biggest seller of home game tix on Stubhub, including LL tix in prime sections. Yet he continues to drone on with his losing accusations against STH’s.

I was looking at the Rider game today on SH. There are tons of Tix listed with be a special red notation saying something like "exclusive listing direct via relationship"

But again. That's the unsold stuff mostly in the wings and up top. When you can't go to Sk.com and buy a tix in my section 121 or 95% of 122 going into week 1, but then 30% if those seats are filled with UM fans something smells.

We're talking about 2 different things. At least I am.

Seats for all games are on stub hub every week, so yes.
Oh, and in the same kind of numbers? I guess I'll take a look around the B1G tomorrow to ground myself.
Maybe I'm wrong and it's just the overwhelming Fanebase of UM and PSU in Metro Jersey.

I honestly don't even know why I'm debating this anymore lol. After Sat home season over.

Yes. Even more.

Right now there’s about 3000 rutgers/PSU ticks available on stubhub.

There are 3000 nebraska/Wisconsin tix available…in just the lower level.

I’ll say again this isn’t an issue

Ok. I'm a reasonable man.. ( don't ask my wife though)

But I bet in years when we win it will still be the same because our fans are "ultra thrifty" :) and PSU and UM fans will buy their one local game.
( Ha, just moving the debate goal posts).
Johnny out.
