Olympic Sports Chris Gotterup qualifies for the U.S. Open

Thursday, Gotterup tees off at 8:41 a.m. local time there which is also 8:41 EST

Looking at the forecast (possible heavy rain and wind in the PM) Chris may be at a major disadvantage teeing off very late today.

He did really well yesterday coming back after a really poor first 6 holes. Kuddos to him.

Chris started off strong today at the Travelers, going -3 after 4 holes. Since then he's had 1 Birdie and 3 Bogeys. He on 16 at -1 which puts him in a T52.

After missing a 7' Birdie putt on 16, he parred 17, then after hitting his approach on 18 to 5' from the cup, Birdied the hole.

-2 moved him up to T28 going into tomorrow.

Correction: T30. 2 players behind him moved to -3

Chris shot his 2nd 2 Under 68. At -4 he's well within the cut line (-2).

He was a high as T23 but with the afternoon wave dropped to T33.

He tees off tomorrow at 10:35 playing alongside Mackenzie Hughes

Chris had a pretty wild final round of 3 Under 67 which consisted of 7 Pars, 7 Birdies, and 4 Bogeys. His 68-68-70-67 put im in a tie for 34th at -7.

I believe he has 1 more sponsors exemption (John Deere?) before he moves on to the remainder of the Canadian Tour season.

He is 10 under in the John Deere and tied for 4th behind the leader who is 15 under. Go Chris.
