Complete dumpster fire of a season.

Well, no one is going to say Rutgers had the kind of season any of you wanted, but at least they showed up to the conference tournament with a little pride and made a game on it for a while. We got torched by a 4-14 team that was seeded below us. Given the talent disparity, I can tell you which team deserves more respect right now...

Thank you source. I hope both team get better and Seton hall has talent.

Burn, baby, burn!

It's actually funny how bad we are.
Just have to chuckle from going crazy.

I did not see the game tonight, but did Foreman and Shaq play in 2nd half?
Reading the game thread, sounded like they did some things well in the 1st half.
Don't remember reading their names in the 2nd half threads.

Keep your head up...16-15 is a pipedream around these parts.

If there is a tough opponent to start the season, somebody in the athletic department need to be fired

I say we all root for the NJ Women's Basketball Teams! Between RU, SHO, and Pricenton we have 3 of the top 25 !!

It was a 4 pt game with about 4 minutes left. We simply melt in crunch time.

Couldn't get stops on defense, like a deer-in-the-headlights when we need to come up big on either end of the court, what else is new.

A decent game for about 35 mins though...excepting all the aggravating FT whiffs in 1st half.

Willy P. lost to Virginia Wesleyan in the Round of 32 last weekend. I was in Virginia Beach as a student reporter when they lost to Virginia Wesleyan in the Elite 8 back in 2006. Luis Martinez was a helluva D-3 player.

No bench so the guys are worn out.
Hadn't played since Sat afternoon and it was the last game of the year...only people who are worn out is us fans...

Considering this team is in the record books as beating the highest rated opponent in the program's history boggles my mind. As far as the opening opponent for next year, Julie better find the absolute worst program out there and pay them a lot of money to come to the RAC.

Minn scored 50 second half points - just awful. No way to claw back into a game without stops.

Glad it's over

I wouldn't give the win back but something about that does not sit right with me. One of the worst Rutgers basketball teams in modern history also has the best win according to rankings.

It's a funny, funny game, bac. Some things just can't be explained. Odder yet is that I don't believe they won another game after that, did they?

I have to agree with you here my friend. Not a whole lot of what happened this year is going to help us next year. Foreman improved some. Williams hit his last shot yesterday (I think) so maybe that will help some with confidence. Doorson needs some work but has some potential

Certainly nothing earth shattering to hang our hats on. We'll simply have to hope these players develop and the new ones are better than advertised.

Trying to look for optimism with the returnees but not finding much. Williams has potential but could wind up just being a shooter who can't shoot. I still like him the best of the bunch.

Foreman and Daniels look like nothing more than AAU players who have never been coached. I was excited about Foreman after the first game but then I realized he has no clue. He also has not improved one bit during the year. Daniels would be a nice energy player off the bench but can only start for an extremely weak team.

Doorson has a lot of room for improvement but is so out of shape it's hard to tell if he'll get better.

Etou should be so much better but just disappears.

Okoro and Kone are not D1 players.

Lewis IMO was the only player that improved this year.

Magoo, do you really think the team is that bad? They're 10 wins bad, which is pretty bad, but all the players you mentioned showed some kind of potential. Foreman, not a hopeful player? Shaq, not a hopeful player for next year? Daniels, only good on a bad team?Daniels has a ton of talent, just hasn't been coached like you said. He has a high ceiling for next year if EJ can get in his ear. Williams is more than a shooter that never hit. He doesn't turn the ball over, and knows what to do 80% of the time.

I saw more hope than that. I saw some players. 10 wins is bad though. Still, i saw some players that weren't bad and might be able to get together next year for a 10> win season next year. Here's to hoping.

Higgins, I think we have disagreed on this all year and believe me, I hope you are right. No, I am not high on the returnees. If we were in the MAAC or Northeast Conference...then maybe. I don't think any of these players are legit B1G players.

To me , Foreman and Daniels don't have a clue how to play the game. Daniels is an exceptional athlete who can score a little but he gives up more than he gets and he seems to think he's a better player than he is. There is a reason he didn't stick at Miami. People see the flash but he one of the "least-smart" (I'm being politically correct here) players that has played here. If he realized his limitations, we would all be better off. No "D", turnovers galore, and shoots way too much. You can't teach "smart"..especially in one year.

Foreman is a similar "energy guy" but is one-dimensional. I think he is capable of getting to the basket and scoring a bunch of garbage points. Daniels and Foreman's decision making is atrocious.

I didn't say Doorson has no potential.. If he gets into real basketball shape, I think he does. It's hard to tell if he's serious or not. He just looked like a kid who would either foul out or collapse if he played extended minutes.

I think Etou is an enigma. He has skill but I don't see any heart.

As I said, I do have hope for Williams.

unfortunately that's a pretty good summary...although I am starting to be a little more pro-foreman and less williams. And IF Daniels can get under control he could be huge. Big IF as I don't see Eddie really having an ability to get thru with these guys in any meaningful way. Talks the talk but doesn't walk it from what I've seen.

Foreman has potential and needs to get in weight room. Rebounded ball well yesterday. Doorson should have played more minutes.

Magoo, you're right about Daniels. Kid's ego might be too big for him to learn. Who knows.

Foreman had a good game on the boards and has had a string of decent games the past 6 or so games.

I wish EJ could get through to Daniels. Just make better passes, in general better decision making. We'd be a lot better next year.

Etou is an enigma because there were times he was WIDE open this year fighting in the paint and KJ would not get him the ball. He needs to be fed more, and that should be PRIORITY.

It's hard to think a basketball team would struggle to find ten wins like Rutgers does. Just sucks. That's sports though- we have absolutely very little control about what goes on.

Foremans shot looks smooth to me to. He it a couple of 3s this year IIRC and his form looks a million times better than Jacks. I I think he can be decent but it will take work.
