I went to today’s game - first of the year for me that I actually got to watch. Last year we beat up teams on the glass and Freeman dominated in non-conference games. When the big ten games start Freeman is the size of a small forward. Not knocking him just stating what happened last year in conference play. Where will the points come from when the conference games start?

Freeman struggled initially in the Big Ten games last season, but was very good offensively in the 2nd half of the Big Ten season - more often than not. I suspect you will see that this year also: Freeman will be very effective in some games, and not as effective in others. He is a good player, but his relative shortness as PF will sometimes limit his ability to finish.

I think we will stink in the BIG again this season . Growing pains as pike builds this program.

By the way - not saying I am not worried about RU's offense. Just saying Freeman has shown he can be effective offensively even against Big Ten bodies.

There really is no consistent go to scorer so far.The concern against B1G competition is the ability to score closer to 70 points per game as compared to 60 last year.It will have to be a collective effort which requires far better foul shooting and 3 point shooting than seen against out of conference competition.

What "happened" last year in conference play was
Freeman also often the high scorer and high rebounder for our team in the B10 games

As coach Pike has stated at many of the post game conferences....the high scorers this year have come from different guys in different games so far.

Baker had 29 points last game and only 7 this game
Corey had 16 last game but only had 5 today ...
why arent you worried about them?

I am not worried at all.
Different teams. Different matchups. regardless of his size. Freeman is the best "big" we have so far
But Doucore, Omararuyi & Doorson seem to be much improved

Very concerned about scoring.....consistency isnt there from the frosh and sophs but worse to me is the poor shooting numbers that Freeman and Sanders are putting up. How can Sanders have such a bad night 2-15 at tthis point in his career.

Williams too. 3 for 9 and they were wide open looks. Can’t just blame Freeman and Sanders for shooting woes.

Williams is a hard working warrior but not a good shooter, fans always try to say he is in a slump but more often than not the overall fg percentage isnt all that good..on 3 pt shooting...the last 4 games he is just 1-16
