Coppin State is up 47-31 at half over a decent 9-3 James Madison team. They have played some teams tough and must have some players. Game is on December 30 before New Years and Purdue is looming on January 2 , so we need to be focused so we do not stub our toe. As long as we beat Bucknell and Coppin State by double digits plus we are in good shape heading back into the BiG 10 schedule.

No, but teams' focus level certainly can vary from game to game, and these sleepy holiday cupcake games are pretty ripe for lower focus levels imo.
Sorry, just referencing a past post when the board was glitchy one day and the post appeared five times in a row in a thread. Making a bit of a joke, but many may not remember it. But I remind you not to sleep on Coppin State.

Iowa losing to Eastern Illinois 82-70 with 2:40 minutes to play . Eastern Illinois was 3-9 coming into the day and # 356 on Kenpom and # 350 in the NET. Now you know why winning and winning handily against Coppin State and Bucknell is crucial. Iowa will have the Lafayette loss hanging over their heads all year.

Eastern Illinois is pretty decent this year. They've got nice 50+ points wins over Blackburn and St. Mary-Woods and even managed to grab a road game against a dangerous IUPUI squad.
They might be able to win a few games in the ACC this year.

The big question is whether they're better than the UConn football program though.
That's why Rutgers will be better prepared for that first B1G game at Purdue in January. We are playing more competitive teams like Bucknell and Coppin St. Meanwhile, Purdue played New Orleans, Net 358, last night and Florida A&M, Net 359, next week. I like our chances pulling out a win @ Purdue.
Gonna be my first game at the RAC in 20 years or so, so I'm pretty stoked for this one!
