This is outstanding for Corey and for RU. Corey is going to have an incredible junior season, kinda like JAMES Bailey good or Quincy Douby good. Really looking forward to this season , it has been a long time.

That is great news for Corey! I hope he has a few great days down there representing RU.

While I hope he has a great junior season, I'm not expecting Quincy Douby good.... he averaged 25 pts a game with shooting 46% from the floor and 40% from 3. I would take 18 a game shooting north of 42% on FG and 35% on 3's (the latter of which he hasn't done here)... and 75% from the line. It would show a really nice improvement and would garner some interest somewhere in the pros. If he's putting up those numbers, he would be free to shoot the ball a little more and pick up a few extra points.

We don't need or want Corey to score 18 ppg. If he does, it probably means we're relying too much on one player and not getting enough contributions from others.

I'd like to see 15 ppg and 5 apg from Corey at PG, 12 ppg from Mike at SG, 10 ppg from Thiam at SF, and 13 ppg and 8.5 rpg from Freeman at PF.

That's 50 ppg from our main four go-to guys, and hopefully the rest of the players can give us a total of 20 ppg.

Without any on court context I would much prefer 18 a game then 15. 3 more points in reality means he could be taking 2/3 more shots a game or increasing his FT attempts by 1 and FG% by 5%. All possibilities.

Baker will be scoring 10 ppg by seasons end

If Corey shoots 40% or better from the field and gets everyone involved with low turnovers don't care if he avgs 30/game.

GO RU

He is probably playing like the best guard in the B1G....at least the best PG.
I was just happy to hear that he was able go to his left. Brad told me that he looked good in Houston.

Brad is a Florida guy and saw Corey throughout HS. Very good chance that he was seeing Corey for the first time since he graduated from HS.

I still predict you will be a HUGE Corey Sanders by the end of the college basketball season.....

HUGE COREY SANDERS " FAN "
Maybe.

I wish Corey well. His struggles are mainly the result of his athletic ability and his poor work ethic in HS and freshman season.

He should be farther along than it is now but he wasn't very coachable in high school which played a part in him bouncing around from school to school.

Hope he's matured
From his recent interview looks like maturity is still far away from the horizon. Unfortunate, but guessing his support group at home lacks that maturity too.
