entertaining week! lots of things in motion -- challenging to track them all - but appears to be all good
(1.) Add more spark for 2018 - CHECK! - Mac McClung - - dazzling, high motor, high work ethic - excellent move & a really good addition to the process of building a team that is a highly synchronized basketball playing 'machine'
(2.) Add high octane horsepower for 2018 - IN PROCESS - - all indications are that Pikiell & Co, are making the right moves - both with Mathis personally - and by making this opportunity highly attractive - with #1 above and the talent rapidly emerging on the team - prospects can see that they will not be wandering in the wilderness - they will be part of a high quality & rapidly improving squad.
(3.) Obtain "something really nice" to complete the plans for 2017 - Waiting Patiently - the word is that all will be revealed in due course ... apparently days / weeks rather than months (especially since fall semester classes begin September 6th) speculation has varied -
a.) addition of a grad transfer (?) - in concept, not coaching staff's first option - but - if the right prospect is available - why not - but quality options are not in abundance
b.) a surprise availability of a 2017 prospect who had, for some reason, not been shining brightly on anybody's radar screen - either oddly dwelling in obscurity - or an eleventh hour decommitt from another program ?
c.) reclassification of 2018 verbally committed recruit 4-star power forward Mamadou Doucoure?
Lots of pleas for the answer to be shared - - but - it has been suggested that, right now, waiting patiently is really the only thing to be done ... that and lots of hoping ... wishing ... crossing of fingers ....
