He looks pretty good so far, with 6 points, and SLU leading 25-19.

As I mentioned in the other thread, he looks taller. Also appears to be playing center.

Finished with 8 pts 6 rebounds as SLU knocks off VaTech 77-71 to go 3-0.

Good for him. He had a lot of personal issues and I hope he finds success this season.
He’s from spring Valley NY. Used to see him in the Rockland summer league. He was really nice to my kid and the other kids that played in the 7th grade league. He was my favorite ru player for the brief time

I remember seeing his first game at RU and thinking he was going to be a player. He never got any better after that at RU. In fact, he often looked like he regressed. I wish Pickell had a shot at him. I think he would have benefited.

I liked DJ's game. Could have been a big mismatch advantage at the 4 w/ his size and athleticism. He would have been interesting to see under Pike and staff. Can he make a put back yet?

So far we have 2 current former basketball player threads
Foreman and Etou and one on the main board about Tayside Mack the wide receiver who ditched us for Indiana.
They are history..Dont care.

If you don't care, why did you read this thread and post on it?

If I don't care about a specific subject matter, I simply don't read the thread and certainly don't post on it.

I always liked D J. I think he would have done well for Pike. I wish he stayed but I wish him well. I wish all of our former players well. If others don't want to see threads on our former players they should just ignore the post. By the way, did Justin Goode ever wind up anywhere after playing a few games at a JUCO in Florida?

I was at MSG last night and watched DJ closely.

He played about 20 minutes or so and still can only hit layups.

His shot has not improved nor has his FT shooting.

He hustles; looks like he's playing with a bit more confidence but is still the same DJ.

DJ would never be an impact player and I doubt he would have fit into Pikell's plans as defense is not his forte and would further hurt a poor shooting team as Rutgers.

DJ seems like a real nice kid and I hope he finds his niche in St Louis with Van Macon as he made the right move for himself.

BTW, St Louis looked pretty good last night as they have 2 real good freshmen - Goodwin a PG and French - a PF from Middletown NY. Also a good upper classman in Bess.
