I think Cornell picks off #4 Arizona State tonight..Should be Great match...Really interested to see 285lb bout between Shultz and NJ native Fernandes

Man, Fernandes was a freak his senior year of high school. I’ve never seen a more dominant single season from any wrestler ever. Win by pin literally every single match for the entire season, except for 1 match where someone challenged him saying he wasn’t a high scoring wrestler so he tech’d his opponent 15-0 in 1 period.

When I saw most dominant single season ever I kinda scoffed but ur right Fernandez won every match his sr year by pin.. #1 p4p nj recruit in 2019 and #5 ranked class recruit.. sucks not landing him but kinda surprised he hasn’t AA yet.

Was looking at the hs rankings.. and besides Blair/delbarton kids there wasn’t many other highly ranked upcoming NJ kids.. less then normal..

Yes super dominant in HS. Very similar to Jimmy Lawson-they both threw legs, double boots and power halved a ton of kids to their backs. Had a good Ivy-redshirt year, than Ivy shutdown and a good year in 2022-made round of 12. Starting this year off very slow(think he was injured prior to season). Think he is 3-4 this season.
Cornell has not AA'd at Hwt in a super long time(maybe not before Koll took over-at least I think I heard that).

I never watched Fernandez in HS, but for me it will always be Damion Hahn. He was a beast, saw almost all his HS matches

He was dominant and may have won more than his two NCs if he hadn't been sucking weight. Damion was a couple or few years ahead of my boys. His mom made great singlets; my boys' each had one.
