6-6 guard graduating and leaving Drexel. Averaged 21.4 and 6 boards. Was 38.5% from the 3. Does this kid want a chance to play some B1G? He'd look pretty good next to Sanders. From Baltimore.

78, great thought. aggs mentioned this to me awhile ago. He'd be a huge asset here. I think knights1212 told me EJ responds eo emails.

I just checked Lee's stats. He shot 88.7% on free throws and attempted 195 of them in 27 games this past season. He shot 38.5% on 3's and got 6.1 rebounds per game. He definitely had good numbers. Maybe we should be looking at him. He was one of the top scorers in the nation at 21.4 ppg. He believe he missed the last few games with an injury, to his thumb I think but I might be wrong. Was it stated somewhere that he is definitely graduating from Drexel with a year of eligibility left? He is from Baltimore so he is an eastern kid.

knights1212, i think you would like minland, right?Lee might be more of a reach but who knows.

There will be many suitors for him. I think he'll want to end his playing career a winner. It appears the only way he'd wind up on the banks is if the academic program he wants to major in is significantly better at RU than anywhere else he is considering.

He will likely have a host of opportunities to play for better coaches and a chance to make NCAA's next year. I don't see him wearing Scarlet next year. I must admit it would be nice!

If Ellison is in the mix too than we have a shot at Minlend or Ellison. I believe they both are sg's but Ellison could probably play sf/wing too. We just really need to upgrade the roster. We need something positive for a change. Losing Etou we know that we have a minimum of 2 ships available.

Knights1212, would you say we had better shots at minland/laurent? I think we do. 7/10 they come here. Ellison 5/10 chance. Just has a lot more competitive offers. I know maryland looked at Laurent but laurent seems high on rutgers.

One thing about Laurant is that if you look at a video, his shot seems very consistent. Nice shot. Also, crafty around the rim like you have to be at this level. Dadika had 1500 points in hs, but he couldn't get the ball 2 inches off his hand without someone blocking it. Just wasn't crafty enough. Didn't have the hs level of competition needed to play at the d1 level.

Laurent, good shot, crafty around rim. Motor.
Minland- Physical,smart,size,respectful.

Ellison-don't know much about.

If we got M/l we would be better. Two good kids that can contribute. Minland will be a player. Strong feeling about that. Just a kid that doesn't need the lights to shine.

If EJ is learning about this thru emails from fans we've got worse problems than even I can imagine

A possible recruit is mentioned and there is a immediate response that he will probably choose a school likely to get a NCAA bid. While I find that notion persuasive it means Rutgers stays mired in the abyss of futility. There are open scholarships and no takers because Jordan has nothing to sell. Its truly a impossible job right now on and off the court.

Eddie didn't get an email from me. :-)

I could see this transfer from a mile away. Drexel is stuck in last place and Lee was a redshirt junior.

Ruman, more eyes the better. EJ could use all the extra eyes he can get.

Jmm, until we get a facility and 16 + wins, we're going to be a hard sell.

That's what I've been hearing, too. If (when) Maryland offers a scholly, he'll take it.

With a potential starting five of Melo Trimble, Damion Lee, Jake Layman, Robert Carter, Jr., and Diamond Stone, Maryland will be really, really, really good next year. Like...preseason top-5 good.

Maryland's got a lot of connections to the kid:

- He's from Baltimore.

- Juan Dixon, current Terps assistant, was a legend at Calvert Hall where Lee also went to high school and knows him well.

- Current Terps Melo Trimble and Damonte Dodd played AAU ball with Lee on DC Assault, a program that Maryland has established a pipeline in recent years.

- Lee and Terps assistant Bino Ranson has an existing relationship.

Terps will definitely be stacked.

I think our best bet is on mindland and laurent. For some reason i think we're out of the race for freeman or malik. I hope i am wrong, but some sure competition out there. If we do get freeman, EJ,VM, and Shoes deserve a ton, ton of credit.

Maryland or Louisville. He has some AAU connections with Louisville as well (and ND but I have seen nothing linking him to ND).
