There is something not right and as a fan it’s troubling. I can’t imagine what our players and coaches are feeling? This has been all season so far. Thank god there have been some reversals, but not all.
Does this happen as frequently for other schools? I suppose it happens, but it really does look like we are shaken down too many times. I still can’t believe what happened in basketball at Ohio State last year.
The reality is that nothing ends up changing. As Greg said, theres a protocol in the conference, when you disagree with a call. But nothing changes the outcome. How do two refs throw flags, make the unsportsmanlike call and then decide, nah, theres no foul. You call a phantom hold that never happened and it was so bad, the big 10 network didn’t even show the penalty.
Are the refs just too intimidated by certain coaches of blue blood schools? I just feel like we can’t catch a break. You’re not going to get make up calls against other opponents.
Idk. I’ve never seen Schiano at such a loss for words. Sure, you move on and play the next play, but when these calls happen at key moments in the game, it takes the air out of you. Michigan is still stocked with better athletes. But, i feel like we are catching up. We just can’t get shafted like this.
