Disappointing Turnout

On the bright side, the porta potty I'm sending this from is very clean. :D
It will be the same crowd it has Been all year and they all won't arrive until 3/4 way through the first. Yet, people here will act surprised.
I think much of this has to do with a losing record, a cold morning (it's currently 45° ) and maybe a lack of interest. You know how you change all this, start winning.

Speaking of which, I'm headed back. It was so pleasant the first time.
I think, by definition, that unless you love more than an hour away, if you don't have season tix and attend all home ganes, you don't qualify as die hard.
You must have obliterated that johnny on the spot if it's now 2/3s full when you finished unloading your pants. You should tell Hobbs you made some fresh fertilizer and hopefully he names a field in your honor.
I think it's amazing that around 40k people will warch Rutgers play Indiana. God bless us all.
The crowd wasnt decent...it was under 40k on a beautiful day and pretty quiet. In two weeks we have 15k PSU fans taking over the stadium and we wont even sell out the game.

Yep, that's what happens when you are ranked in the top 15, and beat OSU. Let's hope franklin doesn't drop 70 on us just to prove to NJ recruits that we suck. Maybe Ash will get us there in a few years. His only job right now is to recruit, recruit, recruit.
So the 40K+/- that showed up for Indiana won't go to see PSU?
We win the game PSU fans won't be so loud.
I hope I'm wrong but I believe many of the 40 k will not show up and penn state fans will be out in force. Wish I was wrong!
I didn't say you were a band wagoner. I said not a die hard. There's tons of space between those two positions. Die hard fans die hard. They view the costs of the game as a bargain no matter what the cost. They don't consider any part of the experience an inconvenience and look forward to it all. There's no such thing as bad weather for football to a die hard fan.
You're kind of a die soft fan. You grew unhappy with the costs and inconveniences.
But you've remained a fan this season, even though the team is struggling at the moment. So you're not a band wagoner. They are only fans when the team is winning.
The parking lot was 2/3rds full. I barely made a dent in the porta-potty's "storage" capacity, despite my best efforts.
Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. If not, you're horribly wrong. There may well be 10-15K PSU fans, but there will be 35-40K RU fans, unless the weather sucks.
Wasn't there a rumor 2 years ago that Penn St. was bringing 100 busses full of students to take over College Ave?
I was there. But why are you disappointed in the crowd? The team is poor and the program is in terrible shape.
This team is almost unwatchable except for hard core people like me and a few thousand others.
At 11:52, West stands looked OK in the bottom section. Student section had maybe 150 and the rest of the stadium less tha 50%. Got a little better during the first qtr. Too nice to be watching RU FB.
