I've seen you post before. Do you need help of any kind? I'm sure some would be willing.
If you don't mind me asking, what happened ?
Thanks for the concern. I'm not gonna go into long details Postscript-oops, sorry) and many don't want to see it, but if you read my Rutgers related posts/threads re Rutgers treating their students well Id first say my colleges (inc UNC) hurt let along not helped so much. Also the job market changed much once personal computers came into existence.
That said most immediately one of those who received a predatory home loan that shouldn't have based on long term unemployment. My Uncle and Father passed within 6 weeks of each other and inherited a bunch-however they didn't plan (my Uncle refused to fill out a will because HE didn't have a will. Father trusted my sister (thrown out of the national honors society at her high school as the #1 student) to be executress and my sister has both much mental illness (last I saw her she didn't exercise, she smoked and left behind pills for bipolar and schizophrenia I believe. and was jealous I was at home for many years after my Mom passed early). My law firm was negligent (but I blew my cool and ripped up a note asking my attorney to appeal-and went home and punched holes in the wall) by unknowingly sending a 1st year law grad to argue my case (that the court or a 3rd party handle my Uncle's estate). Told a girl next to him he hated being an attorney.
Caught my sister with her high priced attorney pre hearing with the Hunterdon County surrogste beforehand-coincidentally she was named executress of my Uncle's estate. She now had all the estate monies and power and information (with my Dad she created POD accounts (forced my Dad/Dad unwitting/Forged?) pre death and upomn removing my Dad's feeding tube went out to all the banks and moved all the bank's info to her house. Though I smartly (and planned w father and Uncle) grabbed all my uncles files within a few hours (dumbly waited a few hours for a Mellencamp show to go on sale) of hearing about his death (call came to ,me) I angered my sister because I took that info out of his residence and didn't call her (it was [planned and I wanted to create a list of assets to ensure I had enough to buy my father's house out) until the next day.
Sister was jealous I'd have a house despite long term unemployment (got caught in a venture out of my MBA where I gained much publicity but not much profit)-so she ran up legal fees to starve me of estate monies.
Also as time passed I didn't move quick enough to buy the house from her and in 2008 or so the mortgage mess blew up. I got a last resort type mortgage- advisor never even met with me. As my mortgage process concluded Wall Street was collapsing and my down payment doubled to about 20-30% and I was given a last minute interest rate of 8.3% thus taking much cash on hand to pay future mortgage payment. Besides stealing $100,000?+ I never received the later part of my 2nd estate (min $30,000) because my sister clamed she used it on attorneys. My lazy attorney didn't want to pursue and, instead of more litigation, tried to save those monies for the mortgage so let sister off in mediation in 2010.
At 8.3% monies ran down fast without a job-the job market was horrendous but I didn't realize since I was already out. Did get a job with the postal service but things moved so fast re training (successfully completed) my head was spinning and much work was needed around the house. Stupidly left job after day 1 though I was bad at it and park and deliver physically beat up my body. Had money in bank at that point though and I wanted to use my two masters degrees (also job was part time floating).
Monies ran out and under county requirements for food benefits had to check in at employment (OneStop Career Centers). Got distracted by county work search requrirements and else during 2011-12 or so. Plus much yard work in summer. Then was trying to get house on market but both that October snowstorm (2011?) and Sandy (2012) caused much damage to yard/house so didn't get the house onto the market until 2013-well into the foreclosure process. Aslo fighting the whole foreclosure process myself iwhole time-much work. When I got the house on the market the sunday before Thanksgiving 2013? I was in such a zone and wound up (was actually searching case law that afternoon) that I called Special Civil who had lost my mediation paperwork made a sarcastic comment and called my 60+ court "answers" a "manifesto". B*tch clerk didn''t like, called the judge and wound up unnecessarily hospitalized (woke up with 6 Sheriffs officers outside my bedroom door) for the minimum 8 days required by law, That was the 1st 8 days of my house sale, my realtor didn't clean and I missed several offers. Missed a lot of traffic.
Since I had run out of money needed to lease back the house from the buyers (needed their monies to move). Was like pulling teeth for my 1st realtor. By the time I hired my 2nd realtor and attorney (also self serving 2 commission offer from broker from 1st brokerage) I only had a few weeks before my bank received Final Judgement. Landed an offer (actually had a bunch but several cancelled earlier and lots were trying to create their own rules re leaseback-also sister had lllegally tried to sell the house a few years before-several realtors didn't want to deal with/bad rep). I got a low offer that would close before the Sheriff's sale (but the buyers went back 1-2 times to get a new mortgage and (lying unlike promised) made a big deal re inspections. by the time things got done I intersected the Sheriff's sale (one legally has right to 2-two week delays) so I had to pay both the banks lawyers a whopping amount at end AND sheriff's office (sale).
Got out with some money but lost $10,000 in escrow because I couldn't move out of my 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 story house quick enough. Nobody helped me move, Walmart didn't restock my moving boxes (many timely trips to 5-6 stores I3 counties) and my "football crew" (my childhood friend, despite much other help, wouldn't store any contents or valuables) only stores a few boxes of baseball cards (other valuables disappeared-sister scared buddies? flood in basement?)-That I sold to pay for my 2016 season ticket. Couldn't pay storage ($630+ a month) any longer so lost all of my belongings (sans the clothes and box of cards friends stored) in storage as I went for my security license (SORA-Workfirst center refused to help with/nasty social worker) and never had access after that.
