I can't stand listening to him...worse than listening to Tim mccarver years back

Anyone else in same boat?

I'd be inconsolable if he was picked to be jim Nantz color guy

I like him. He knows his stuff. Sure he Is abrasive but he knows it and plays it up. He also speaks his mind on controversial calls unlike most guys who suck up to the NCAA and be PC like Seth Davis and some boring guys in the studio

Ditto that...much better as a game color guy...plus, he has one of the best radio shows during the week, as he really picked up his game in regards to college football and NFL info.

at first I wasn't pro...but he definitely started to win me over with his candor.

he is a fraud in more ways than one.

My favorite lead is Harlan...Lappas Spanarkel Elmore and Gottleib for color

Marv Albert is awful for college hoops. Nance/Rafferty/Hill team doesnt excite me but I see their appeal

Jim Nantz needs to stick to golf, period. Just send him to the back 9 at Augusta.
Harlan is good.
Love listening to Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith.
Thank goodness no Dickie V.

He is so annoying. He thinks he's a know it all. He said Jordan should have been fired after that deadspin story broke 2 years ago. He said Jordan lied to Rutgers, and then proceeded to misspeak without any facts. He sucks

Agreed I usually do not like Gotleib but thought he was very good in this game.

Lots of games means lots of air time to be filled in the first two rounds. Not sure what Grant Hill has done to warrant being on the top team. Always enjoy Raf and Nantz has been at this a long time.

Gottlieb is OK. It is kind of interesting to figure out which of these guys can easily work on multiple networks while others can't. Must in the deals they sign. For instance Raf is now aligned with Fox rather than ESPN during the season but can work on CBS during the tournament. Len Elmore I think works with ESPN and now is covering for CBS. Yet play by play guys like Gus Johnson and ESPN leads seem less likely to be in that position.

Dude has jumped the shark...likes to be popular with 16 yr olds on tv/twitter bashing the NCAA every chance he gets...even when its not the topic at hand.

Sure...for NBA Games...but its painful for them to try and discuss team/player history/experience from this season...as none of them ever watched these teams play during the year (busy watching/working for NBA Broadcast).

If not for old fashion cue cards and notes on a screen...they couldn't name 5 college players...let alone players from 68 teams.

Bilas doesnt even announce the games anymore.. Each game he calls is just a 2 hour bitch-a-thon where Jay cries about all the rules and what changed he thinks should be made.

Agree. While he has some points I am tired of rhetoric. The enforcement of the current rules is not one of the major problems threatening college BB. When he starts taking on some of the hands that puts money in his pocket then he will have more creditability with me as an outspoken individual who clearly has the best interests of the game in mind. At times he comes across as a lawyer.

I believe that Hill moved up into Greg Anthony's spot. I guess CBS was committed to a 3 man booth and needed to fill the open spot.

Gottleib (and Scott Van Pelt) had it right killing the NCAA seeding committee saying the Big East teams were vastly overrated and Overseeded. They were proven right immediately.

gottleib tells it like he sees it...doesnt sugarcoat things. can be very critical. trimble down on ground hurt and he says trimble should have been back on D not challenging at half court.

definitely growing on me...just the voice grates on me

He does that as well on his CBS Sports Radio Show M-F at 3 pm - 6 pm EDT.

Unlike some TV/Radio hosts that want to be LIKED, DG generally tells exactly what is on his mind...which has gotten him in hot water on occasion..but I'm glad he generally sticks to his guns and calls it like he sees it.

Leaving ESPN for more exposure from CBS and CBS Sports Radio was a good move for him.
