Would he be a good fit for RU?

Fordham Rams freshman Eric Paschall, the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, announced Monday that he would be exploring a transfer from the school.

Paschall added that Fordham would still be under consideration.

The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 15.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He opened his career with a 31-point, 10-rebound performance and never slowed down until an ankle injury hampered him during the final weeks of the season. Paschall missed three of the team's final four games and played just 11 minutes in the other one.

Fordham coach Tom Pecora was fired last week after five seasons with the program. The Rams went 44-106 during his tenure, including a 13-69 record in the A-10.

Isn't there some kind of Eric Murdock/Paschal connection that makes this highly unlikely, even if there was a possibility?

Van Macon has strong ties to Fordham. If RU is interested in Paschall, I wouldn't be surprised if we're in the mix.

I don't know anything about the kid, but I would think that a 6'6" freshman wing with those numbers in the A10 would be a very good fit for RU

We're not in the mix. Villanova and Providence are already sniffing around. Slim and none are the chances.

Nova and Providence have hit their respective ceilings. If this young man wants to play for a program with a higher ceiling that plays on the BIG stage with a stud point coming in he might want to look at Rutgers.

The one constant about this board is that when a possible transfer is mentioned the reply is quick with a why would he want to come to Rutgers response? I guess 24 years of futility does have a negative impact on recruiting.Maybe we can wait until 2022 and revisit the issue.
