Every RU Issued Bowl Pennant in One eBay Auction

Shameless plug for my eBay auction which ends tomorrow:

I moved and have no room to display these any longer. The face of every pennant is in excellent condition and there are no creases or defects of concern.

This is for every RU issued bowl pennant between 2006-2014. Somebody here can correct me if I'm wrong but I do not believe Rutgers issued a pennant for the Insight Bowl. I say that with confidence because there would be no way I wouldn't have it if they did. I can't speak with the same confidence regarding the Garden State Bowl. I was 13 at the time and not following Rutgers. So you may have to track that down if it exists. Not sure whether or not RU will be giving them out for the Gator Bowl.

From late 1996 to September 2021, I lived in a 2800 sq ft McMansion in Freehold. These pennants were among a boatload of RU memorabilia that hung in my basement. We just moved into an 1100 sq ft one story house in Manasquan. The basement is strictly for storage. So nowhere to display my stuff any longer. I already sold or gave away most of it. I held onto these as I couldn't part with them. But when RU got into the Gator Bowl, I figured it was time to give them a new home where they wouldn't just sit in a box.

I wouldn't draw that conclusion. It looks like the seller (who isn't Mike) acquires player worn stuff and resells it. Somehow he got/bought this from Mike Teel along the way.

My guess? Mike simply isn't a sentimental guy and didn't see a need to hold onto this. Speaking for myself, I would have loved to give all my RU stuff to my kids, but they couldn't be less interested in it. Meanwhile, there are plenty of people that would love to have that jacket. $200 seems very reasonable. I'm surprised nobody has grabbed it yet.

I'm not sure but I believe I once saw a 2005 Insight Bowl RU vs. ASU pennant. However, I don't believe a pennant was issued for the 1978 RU vs. ASU Garden State Bowl.

When my son still lived here he painted the basement red/black and turned it into a Rutgers room. ( I think we met you in Trenton airport and you gave us a ride in Detroit?,). We have a bunch of stuff but now that he's moved out nobody goes down there. So I moved some things upstairs into my mud room. These would like nice there so I'll keep an eye on the bid.
We've cleaned out the house ourselves. So much extra room now.

You are correct Source. I broadcasted the Garden State Bowl for WRSU and in the swag bag they gave out there unfortunately was no pennant.

Thanks for all of the interest in the pennants. Just an FYI - I am going to the Pinstripe Bowl (my daughter goes to UMD but that's a story for another day) and won't be near a computer until later tonight. If the buyer doesn't want to arrange pick up, I'll ship this out sometime tomorrow morning.

I have followed that seller for a long time. I believe he is an RUPD officer.
