Everything is just fine --The players love Flood; he is a nice guy; we can't afford anyone else; Schiano was not as good as we remember and no point in asking him anyway because board insiders have declared he is not interested; Rettig is not as good as he appears; trust the coaches -- they see Rettig everyday in practice and he just can't match Laviano's moxie: Speaking of Laviano -- he is the obvious choice because he actually does have a strong arm and despite appearances, he is a superior game manager. Anyone who disagrees is obviously not a Rutgers football fan.

Are you related to someone like Laviano or Flood?[winking]

The op's explanation sucks even through sarcasm. I don't care if Laviano is a star in practice, if the reports are true that both players were close -- a good coach would have found a way to get Rettig a little playing time. We've had times when we were being blown out, times when the offense completely stalled, and times when Laviano made bad mistakes. Putting Rettig in to possibly spark the team wouldn't have been a bad idea.

Rettig may have succeeded to the point he earned more playing time or even win the job. Or he may have looked like he was clearly not ready. Either way, it would have helped the situation IMO.

To me, Flood didn't want to look like he made a bad decision. Not sure if Lsviano excels in practice or if there is something else going on (maybe he's being rewarded for his loyalty as backup last year) but Rettig appears to have a skill set this offense desperately needs.

Why is all your whining done through sarcasm? If you have a point to make, just make it.

Lol. Just a literary technique, King -- rather than taking a straight forward approach, such as simply name calling those who disagree with my views. Just having a little fun -- Happy Sunday, my friend.

You're a real William Shakespeare /sarcasm

The sad part is the 5%, in their heart of hearts, really believes what you wrote.

Last week the Floodies claimed there was no QB battle...granted these are people who celebrate a 3 point win over Indiana

Bump so I don't need to re-type it. :)
