A Neptune special police officer and former star basketball player at Rutgers University pleaded guilty Thursday to computer theft after he admitted to accessing a law enforcement database for personal use, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced in a statement.

Syessence Davis, 27, of Neptune, admitted that he contacted the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center in May and requested that a driver’s license be run through the New Jersey Criminal Justice Information System.

The story is the crime and not personal things to use claiming Davis will be getting special treatment or looking down on a person for a personal decision.
As far as that special treatment, it's what a lot of offenders receive and really not so special.
Just part of the state’s Pretrial Intervention Program.
