A bad game, a WTF game, our worst of the season. We needed it to keep the positive press going, and it will stop for a while. But the season is far from over...I never thought NCAA or NIT, but a winning season is still possible. Let's not be gloom and doom yet. If we get payback at their place this loss will be forgotten. Have faith!

This was a home game against the opponent Rutgers had the best chance of defeating and they lost by double digits.Its a reality check of where Rutgers stands in the B1G which is once again at the bottom of the league.As Coach Pikiell stated, can't win if you can't score sums up the current situation.

The mets won three more games than the Yankees did last year.
Good luck trying to do that again in 2017 without Colon.
The Mets will miss Colon, I agree, and don't like the fact they let him go. With the Braves, and I'm sure he will beat the Mets a couple of times this year. I still think the Mets will win more games than the Not yet ready for prime time kids the Yankees are staking their future on. As a life long Mets fan, I've learned not to believe all the hype "prospects" bring to the table. Your lucky if one of every 4 ever come close to that hype over a long career.
The Mets should win more games. They play in the NL East probably the worst division in all of baseball. The Yankees play in the AL East the toughest division in all of baseball. The Mets play 36 games against the Phillies and the Braves. There is no comparison. You cannot make this up.
I've been telling these mets fans here about their friendly schedule for a while now.
It concluded with 19 straight games vs. teams with losing records.
And then, of course, one final game vs. my man Madison Bumgarner.
I'm hoping their division is improved in 2017.
