Well another year about to begin and looks like things have went backwards with the digital gameday program. Major Fail. For years, the game day printed program I would purchase for each game provided an easy access 2 page roster for each team (Home/Visitor) and provided a two-deep list for quick access. This has been a huge part of my self and seatmates game day experience, able to quickly look up players and pertinent background info ( Ht , Wt, Home town position etc etc) for both RU and the opponent as you watch the game, without having to look away from the field to get the info. Majorly disappointed a few years ago when this was no longer provided for sale, but at least in the past there was a PDF version to print up and bring the game. The digital version on phone devices is just so useless during the game to scroll page after page to find info on players. Was so easy on the simple old list that used to be provided. To make matters worse, the new version doesn't even have a pdf version available to print out. There is a pdf chart of teh roster in the FB program page, but it is excessively long, and unwieldy, and the visiting team is not available, and no two-deep. I guess this is "progress"

Sounds odd. Maybe this is related, but I currently can't access scarletknights.com at all on my laptop (although bookmarked pages pop up properly), but I can access it fine from my phone. Anyone else having a similar problem?

The digital version is not bad. You can view the roster by Jersey # right here:

The digital versions do not meet the need while sitting in the stands and quickly trying access info between plays. While watching the games, it is infinitely easier to quickly pull up the paper sheet with all of the Home and Away teams roster info at a quick glance. Was glad to pay the $5 for that every game. Fumbling with a phone scrolling around pulling up info is unwieldy and by the time you get to the info you want you are missing the next play. And a bright sunny day? Good luck seeing the phone screen. Yes I can print the Rutgers roster from a pdf from the Annual Media guide, but the digital online game day program no longer even provides the visiting teams roster in a table/chart format to print out and bring to the game. And no more two-deep lists in the game day program? What happened to that? I gladly paid for those game day print programs every week. Just sucks that this is considered "progress"

Just a guess but not that many are buying it...so it's a waste of resources to create, print and sell. I am old school like you and used to study the rosters. Stopped doing that maybe 10 years ago. I use the app in the stadium but cell service sucks at times.

A simple solution from Rutgers - part of the game day digital guide provide a stand alone section for rosters and provide a printable 2 page PDF in a table format for Rutgers and each weeks visiting team. And also revive the weekly listing of a two-deep for each team also in a printable format. The digital roster format isn't bad , for when I am home looking at it on a computer or a phone.... but for use in the stands while at the game... digitals is inferior and almost useless if you don't want to miss any of the game.

Well that is not possible because Greg has not released the depth chart yet. I'm not arguing with you, just pointing out the reality. As for the opposing team, and the listing of roster numbers, in past years, I have worked from the Rutgers roster posted on ScarletKnights.com, and made my own handy printout of Jersey #, Position, name. It's quite handy and better than having an 8X12 card stock. I fold mine up put it in my pocket, or next to my seat, and I am good to go. I can sell you a copy of mine for $50. 😏

As far as the other team's jerseys, I don't care.

And @slyker , while maybe not perfect, from Our Lads, Ready for printing, because it's gameday, and I want to make your experience enjoyable. Make Our Atmosphere Great Again. MOAGA, baby!!!!!

Preparing and deploying a new PDF every week still requires technology resources.

Especially if you want it up to date including injuries - example if AK gets injured and Ajani is #1 QB for a week.

All anyone says is “the AD had no money!” so not using resources for this is likely a good idea in the overall scheme of the AD.

Yeah, I have also used this on occasion once it became unavailable through Rutgers.... but not ideal solution when it was always there in one place. I guess it is what it is. Cant pay for generation of a couple PDF's but they can purchase, install and operate those nice new shiny weapon detection systems ! That should be interesting tonight !

Here are CSV files for Rutgers and Howard's rosters.. Feel free to import them to Google Sheets and print them to take to teh game... I asked MS co-pilot to make these CSV files for me for TODAY's rosters.. first request had Wimsatt.. also had to state numbers 0-100 to get the full thing and give it the same column order for both rosters.. it did it nice for Rutgers but was screwed up for Howard without that stipulation.. Number, Name, Position, Height, Weight, Class, Birthplace.. geeze.. duplicate number use has to be specified as well.. at this point I could have scraped the info myself faster

EDIT: forget this.. I checked the Howard roster it generated and it was wrong.. I even gave it the link I wanted it to use and it gave me wrong info. Then I told it to ONLY use my source and it got it mostly right but made up names for the two number 0s (I kid you not, John Doe and Jane Smith and Smith) and stopped giving me duplicate numbers after two number 1s. It also gave me the wrong jersey number.. 11 for one of the number 12s.

It was then I realized it probably screwed up the Rutgers roster as well as it had no duplicates there either. So I scolded it and gave up.

People say you cannot trust AI information.. that it hallucinates.. and it clearly does.

I deleted the CSV files from this post.

If some have their way, there won't be books anymore. They tell us to live with it , get with the times. Pray for more electricity.
Pair that with the Telegram App founder's arrest in France.. proving governments want access to all our communications... this ain't going anywhere good.

The BlueClaws give one for every game on a piece of paper.

Home and away rosters with some info on each player. Are mistakes made? Sure. But still better than nothing for those interested in this stuff.

Granted, it a smaller stadium but I don’t think many here would take one if it was available here.

And to save on paper and the trees, a .pdf is not that hard to make or update once it’s set up. Which I think is all @slyker is asking?

Exactly what I’m looking for. And would gladly pay for it.

So if people will pay, how hard is this really to do?

Seems like a no brainer IMO with the amount of cost to make and the amount you could possibly bring in.

Programs with rosters, depth charts and scorecards was a game day tradition.
I’d take them home and study them when I was a kid….loved em.

They no longer exist.
This.
I used to pull out the center section of the Program and use that for my Player Roster during the game.
As Knight Shift said there are many methods to pull down RU rosters. I too use Our Lads to pull down our Depth Chart early on way before the season starts. And also during the season .
