Was not able to make the game today due to illness, but my season tickets are in 132. I don't remember a fight at all during the Michigan game (unless it was super late)? I do remember some middle aged guys horsing around but it seemed like they knew each other.

PSU Jersey fans vs. PSU Pennsy fans?

I now live in PA and Jersey PSU fans are distinctly worse than PA PSU fans. Both suck but the PA ones view us as any other lower level Big10 team. Just another game on the schedule. It's the Jersey ones that seem to enjoy taunting us. Like they're "cooler" because they're from Jersey but went to/root for PSU.

Saw the commotion from 131. It was about 1/2 up in 132. Saw a woman wearing PSU gear who appeared to be in her 50s shove a 20 something RU girl and she fell backwards down about 3 rows, was not a pretty scene. After that some men got into it— but couldn’t see if any punches were landed.

Security was no where to be seen. Thankfully some fans with common sense seemed to get control of the situation, but it could have gotten very ugly very quickly.

Security came down about 12-13 minutes after it started but by then it was over.

Are most casual fans supposed to know this exists and have this number memorized/saved? Plus, cell phone service is awful in the stadium. Security can do much better.

Imagine that was your kid that got shoved falling backwards three rows down. There should be security monitoring each section. As I said, there was absolutely no security for my guess 12 minutes or so after it started.

Not to mention, they wear grey now, so you can barely spot them.

Had it not been for some level headed folks, there could have been a very large fight break out. Ive see many melees in my time and trust me this was close to being very very ugly.

Sorry I didn’t memorize the number before the season or alert the few staff members around the stadium (not even security, which is now non-existent outside of RUPD by the entrances) to stand near the section in advance.

Next time I’ll Google the Rutgers security text message number with the malfunctioning cell networks and non-existent WiFi in the stadium while two morons beat each others’ brains in.

They used to have the yellow/orange jacket actual security at the top of each section. Now it’s just the normal staff members in gray (which like you said is another stupid decision) who are apparently too busy at the snack stands to focus on their jobs.

How do people know how to contact security at other stadiums? I recall they used to have signs up on the wall and something on the scoreboard at times. Does it really matter as most people are oblivious and ignore it. I've had this # saved in my contacts since they started it.

Cell service has been fine all season for texts and calls. Data service was even fine tonight with a pretty full house, but other times it's been slow.

I agree there should be a better security response, but I see tons of security all over the stadium and haven't seen slow responses for incidents in the past.
