Connor Fox has been nominated for Sussex County Sports Hall of Fame ...
CONNOR FOX
Qualifying for the NJSIAA Meet of Champions is an extremely difficult task, let alone qualifying in two separate events. But Connor Fox, the final first time nominee on the list, is in that rare company.
As a junior at Pope John in 1997, Fox qualified for the MOC in the high jump. A year later as a senior, he returned to the state's ultimate race in the 400 meter dash.
However, Fox also played basketball for the Lions, and was an All-Herald selection after both the 1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons.
He would continue his athletic career on the court rather than the track, lettering under Gary Waters at Rutgers all four years from 1999-2002.
