Temple is undefeated, and they host Notre Dame next week in primetime. Looking at the schedule for next Saturday, Gameday may be poised to head there as that is one of the top matchups on the schedule.

If you would have told me that Temple would get to host Gameday before us, I would have said you were crazy but they are playing great this year. Good for them if it happens, and good luck against the Irish next week.

It wouldn't shock me. Such is our luck. They'll never come to PIscataway now.

EVEN AS A RUTGERS FAN....I WISH THEM LUCK....I'M HALF IRISH BUT HATE ND..GO ''OWLS''

According to Mike missinelli (Philly sports radio), good shot at it being at Independence Hall.

Makes sense. Students can just hop on the Broad Street Line, take it to Independence Hall (maybe 7-8 blocks over?), then get back on and continue south to the stadium (IIRC).

Broad Street to the El, and it's right off the 5th & Market stop

I agree. Ive really been enjoying watching Temple each weekend. I've seen almost all of their games. That was part of the reason I was saying there was no conclusion to draw from the TU PSU game.

Feel the same way about the mets. Im a yanks fan, but Ive had fun watching the mets this postseason. Its fun to watch teams firing on all cylinders.

Good win tonight. Wonder if RU can beat them.

Very, very good, experienced, D. I think most of them have been starting together for 3 years now? Some maybe since we played at The Linc in 2012? Probably a bad matchup for us both ways, not sure if our D would stop Walker, but that's why you play the game!

WE SHOULDA TOOK HIM...I'M PRETTY SURE HE WANTED TO COME HERE.
This is why I LOVE you guys and your dogma.
Senior PJ Walker stats with one additional game
59% completion 1314 yds 9 TDs against AAC competition.
sophomore chris Laviano
69% completion 1388 yds 12 TD's against the B1G
We should have offered Walker and should bench Laviano. Would be comical if not so sad.

Georgia Florida will be a better game but only game with two ranked teams. ND will being eyes and easy to get in and out of for announcers. Good for Temple.

Walker is more than those stats posted. He is more a pure athlete with a unique but different set of skills and could be great at numerous positions....heck every week i hear you guys saying ''bring on Rettig''...now after an unlikely comeback a few are singing CL's praises...FWIW...I think he'll be great in the future but wonder what HR could do in live action...btw...who said anyone should be benched.

I'm a Bergen Co guy and grew up in NY...I don't like Temple or their handful of fans. ND is ND and no longer stealing our bowl games. If both could lose, that would make me happy but actually would prefer ND to win so I don't have to hear our own fans get in their knees for Temple and kick our own team in the head.
Walker has been good for them but he wouldn't have been better then Nova last year or CL this year.

Your post makes zero sense. We did recruit him as an athlete but he wouldn't listen because he wanted to play QB.

Sorry vkj91....i think i read your post out of context...now i'm sure i did...I think in PJ's case we were short of schollies or he insisted on playing QB....am i right.

I agree he's not the type of QB we use but i think he could have excelled in a few positions. As for Temple good for them. Were in the B1G now and shouldn't be worried about them but happy for them without malice.

But how good would he have become? It wasn't until RU hired Friedgen as OC that anyone bothered to teach Gary Nova how to read defenses.
I'm not sure but his talents would work at several positions other than QB....We'll never know now unfortunately.

PJ Walker would have a much better chance making the NFL as a DB than QB, but not have as much fun. Quickest way to the NFL these days is as a DB, each team has about 9 on their rosters.

Sure, I'll root for them this year Let them have their success.

Their senior dominated team this year will be a slew of underclassmen playing for the first time (and getting killed, no doubt) next year....and their coach is going to be wooed away by a bigger school (UVA, Illinois, Maryland) so they will go back to being a punchline.

So let them have their glory this year. For years to come, Temple will look back at this year as the high point of Temple football. Good for them.

Sound familiar?

Temple is winning with smoke and mirrors but gotta tip the hat to them. ND will be interesting. While I don't disagree with you bac if a strong temple really is a problem then we have deeper problems. While not dismissive to your point in this matchup my heart says temple.

yes, we recruited his as an athlete. I think we said he could try QB but he wanted a guarantee he wouldn't be moved. He's having a nice little career but let's not make believe he's been a world beater. IIRC his freshman year might have been his best to date.

We should have offered PJ as a QB and not a DB.

He wanted to go to Rutgers, so did Thomas.

Too late now!
again, he isn't better than Nova or Laviano so why should we have offered him? It's the LB that we really missed out on.

Smoke and mirrors? They have only given up 29 points the entire 2nd half in 7 games, only 6 in the 3rd QTR. They have the leading tackler in the nation, and the leading rusher in their conference. A QB who is efficient at 60% with 9 TDs to 3 INTs. I would say that means they have a great defense, a staff that makes great halftime adjustments, relies on a good running game & a QB who can manage the game and make key throws when needed. I would say that's solid football, not just smoke and mirrors.

LMAO. You keep on thinking that vk91. This isn't Temple University that didn't know how to get out of its own way in the 80s, 90s, and 00s.

To those RU fans who supported your program through its darkest days and know what I've gone through as a TU alum for the past 30 seasons, I thank you for your well wishes and support. It's a classy gesture that doesn't go unnoticed.
