I have watched probably 3 or 4 Quarterback/halfback option dives off tackle and Wimsett has to pull the ball out instead and take the QB option on the roll out.. he has been WIDE OPEN, and yet they continue to do the dive, and if the QB pulls it out and rolls he will get 10 yards EASY...
Wimsatt’s best opportunity to play at the next level is probably at another position.
Don't worry. Greg has a 7 year plan to build a cement block foundation here at Rutgers. I mean he said so himself.
Greg needs to fire the entire offensive staff.
Augie and Aurich have been disappointments.
Nunzio was a stop gap bridge between Ash and Greg. He is also the TE Coach and they have been the weakest part of our offense for the last 3 years..he's a glorified HS Coach.

Schiano miscalculated Wimsatt's ability and put the entire program in his basket.
It's going to be his downfall. On any real team at this level Wimsatt isn't sniffing the field as he is currently.

We live in a world where people just outright lie to the public because they won't ever be held accountable.
Now we know why he refused to play him. I think he was hiding him after realizing what he really had.
What would you have them say about us? We're freaking awful. I'm sure they wish we were competitive so they actually had something to say.
Schiano was what we needed in 1.0. A program builder. A guy who could organize and develop an entire program from the bottom up.
We aren't that school anymore. We need a coach. Someone who can recruit and coach modern offensive football.
I wish the'd stop with the Wimsatt has talent mantra. Talent completes simple screen passes and hits wide open receievers.

Can we all please stop the fire Schiano talk.. he's not going anywhere, anytime soon. There really hasn't been poor coaching today.. it's execution.. A fumble here (Langdon), a pocket fumble (Wimsett), etc. It's almost like what can go wrong will go wrong and at the wrong time to boot!. The team plays hard.. understand that.. This is not Ash level incompetence.
So Wimsatt gets the benefit of growth and "he just needs experience" excuses but Simon gets discarded? Got it.
I'm worried about his best opportunity to play at this level. Maybe the NFL can wait until he's not the worst statistical QB in college football.
Only at Rutgers could a coach, whose only claim to fame is one highlight win 16 years ago, warrant the fan base rabidly demanding he be rehired.

Probably because his family was tweeting about him potentially transferring in the offseason. And Greg knows he put all his eggs in Gavin's basket so he better not let him get away.
