The Big Ten/ACC challenge begins and so far, so good

Big Ten

#14 Indiana 58 #21 Miami 45 – really good road win for the Hoosiers
Nebraska 83 Duke 79 – would have been shocking most years
Minnesota 75 Notre Dame 67 – ditto, especially @Notre Dame
Northwestern 66 Boston College 63 – Eagles 0-3 on the road
Iowa 74 Clemson 60 – Czinano had 24 and 6 for the Hawkeyes

Other RU opponents

Auburn 82 South Alabama 62 – Tigers get to .500
Northeastern 46 Harvard 44 – Crimson took the lead with 1:55 to go, but couldn’t hold on
Temple 74 Towson 59 – Davis led the Owls with 26 and 15

Other ranked teams

#7 Baylor 72 Georgia 38 – 20-4 4th quarter made it look much worse for the Bulldogs
#12 Texas A&M 76 Central Arkansas 46 – Wells had 18 for the Aggies
#15 Kentucky 86 Charlotte 39 – Wildcats now 8-0
#22 Missouri State 68 Wichita State 55 – Lady Bears have a pretty decent OOC schedule and are 7-1

Also

Toledo 53 Belmont 48 OT – nearly 19% of the points scored during 5 minute OT
Yale 82 Providence 79 – Friars’ first loss, amazingly
Colorado 74 Texas Southern 50 – Buffs now 7-0, but only power conference win is over Wisconsin
Florida Gulf Coast 57 Houston 45 – Eagles now 7-1
Drexel 54 Villanova 52 OT – and it took a pretty decent comeback for Wildcats even to get to OT
Western Kentucky 74 Oklahoma 63 – Sooners have lost 4, 3 to teams they usually would crush
Pennsylvania 65 La Salle 49 – Quakers 2-0, Explorers 0-1 in Big 5 play
NJIT 76 St. Peter’s 73 – Peahens mounted 4th quarter charge to no avail
Texas Tech 84 Mississippi 48 – Red Raiders now 6-0, 4-0 at home
Boise State 83 New Mexico 82 OT – Lobos blew 5-point 3rd quarter lead

Don't remind me. I thought they were going to win and tuned out briefly--next thing I know UNM is down one with seconds to go. They got one of those bizarre opportunities for another last second (literally) shot, but it was blocked. In fairness to the Lobas, they did not get a lead until the 3Q, and I don´t think a lead at the end of 3Q can be considered blown as there is still 25% of the game to play in regulation (unless it is a big lead).

If I saw the Oklahoma record correctly, it also looks like they won their 4 at home and lost all 4 on the road. And I agree, to teams they typically would have beaten. Could Sherri be watching the end of her career (IIRC, she didn't lose her job after last season on the strength of a strong recruiting class / young team).

I'm wondering about Coale, too.
