I graduated from RU in 1970 and, with a few exceptions, have suffered a mediocre program in the years since. Well, my son who just graduated from UC Irvine, started as point guard for two years. We went to the conference final in which UCI won to earn its first ever NCAA appearance. Naturally I am happy that my son's program is in the Big Dance (even if it ends when they play Louisville) but when I think that the Anteaters could beat my Scarlet on any given night this year, I just have another IPA and wonder.

You are killing me. I used to drive to the Fullerton train station from my job in East Anaheim in the afternoons. I was out there when they were really good. I spent more than one sunny afternoon watching some of the highest quality college baseball that you could imagine. .I don't know if I was a bigger Anteaters fan, Dirt bag fan or Banana Slug fan.......

Monk: I remember how tough it was for the Eaters to play well in the small CSU gym. I enjoyed the competitiveness in the Big West.
