Hey guys, tough loss was hoping for a missed field goal. I wanted to offer some positive words for your program going forward.

Born in Arbor, high school in Maryland, undergrad in Ann Arbor and now a physician in NYC. Have several colleagues that are from Rutgers, all very intelligent and well-rounded people.

I personally think you guys have a great chance to rise above Maryland and battle PSU for northeast supremacy in the coming years. And considering my personal aversion to Maryland sports, and the ridiculousness of PSU fans I know - I definitely will be rooting for that. I have read your board often, and am impressed with the loyalty and hunger to create something special in the coming years. I am also impressed with the reasonable posts on all topics (especially compared to BWI, though that is not a major victory). Anyways best of luck in the coming years and building a power in the big 10!

It would please me for that to be reality.

No moral wins.

Indy is winnable.

Best of luck the remainder of Big Ten schedule.

When are losses not tough? Are losses ever not tough?

That's the most redundant phrase ever. More than ATM machine or PIN number.

Some sting more than others, typically the ones you are in position to win, but fail..... here, we were in position if we stop the last drive inside the 4 minute mark.... when we lost to Ohio state the feeling is not the same.

Different strokes for different folks. I didn't enjoy this loss, but I expected a blowout before the suspensions, so it was a nice surprise to be competitive. Plus it was an entertaining game to watch.

Plus, despite the dumbass calls, overall DM might have potential as a coach. He'll need another 2-3 years to learn how to coach, but he might not be hopeless.

Only one starter was suspended

Hi Folks,
Michigan fan here - attended Cornell - graduated early 1990s - a few of my college buddies are big Rutgers fans - I told them when were in college Rutgers would join B1G someday - it just made too much sense - great academics - great demographics and chance for B1G to give pro fans something to do on Saturdays. Like the members of this board, I have no doubt that Rutgers will rise - Schiano proved what I suspected - you are a sleeping giant - your state produces top talent and if you supplement with Penn, Maryland and Florida recruits I see the day when you are playing B1G West in B1G Ten Title game. You will rise, you are to be feared - it may take time but it will happen - you are the intersection of great state high school talent, big time media and big time opponents on a weekly basis. I'm reminded of what Bo said when he took over a down trodden Michigan program - " what the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve and those who stay WILL be champions "
No moral victories and remember every loss. One thing I've discovered is payback is a bitch. Last ten years have been very sobering.
PS I like this free board which has essentially become the Big Ten salon for football conversations. Best of luck the rest of the year.
