I played with Greg that frosh yr. He was a big dude, but not a slugger. Could use all parts of the field and certainly didn’t fit the mold of the other 1st basemen in the program.

Greg had a good glove, was a nice guy and excellent teammate. He was a little quiet and a bit more “cerebral” than most others being a New England kid amongst a roster full of NJ bluster...not saying that was a bad thing.

He may have been more appreciated in today’s era but Coach Hill was def old school and it was hard to argue with the success he was having with the program at the time or that his formula didn’t work.

I’m glad to see Greg has found success in life and remains a loyal son.
