Guess Rutgers first offensive play

read option, QB keeps.. then again, if we are down to 1 QB.. not gonna happen.

bubble screen to Cruickshank

I would love to see OP's idea of pass over middle to TE as I expect Iowa to be very aggressive on first down, especially if we get the ball first.

I'll give you the first series.

1st down: 2 yard run up the middle
2nd down:. 3 yard sweep with Johnny Football.
3rd down: 35 second stare at the sideline. Delay of game. Johnny Football is tackled immediately after 3 yard pass on 3rd & 10.
4th down: Enter the MVP.

I think that is illegal now, iirc.
Still legal, according to this:

As long as the center "fumbles" backwards.

I'm looking at it a little different. On Rutgers first first down, handoff up middle for 2 yards. On second first down, fake handoff up middle then Simon hits Youngblood crossing over the middle for a big gain.

Johnny Langan lines up at QB, with Monangui on one side of him and Salaam on the other. Iowa has no idea who is going to run the ball. Langan drops back and throws a 70 yard touchdown to Cruickshank.

um.. no.. but it was done in 2013.. legally.. by Fresno State.

It seems the QB must "fumble" backwards...
