Harbaugh being Harbaugh.

Those of us on the west coast know more about Harbaugh than the rest of the country and we know what a classless punk he is.

Yep. This plays just fine in the NFL where both teams players are getting paid, but in college where the playing field is often tilted this is complete horses#it. Doing this TWICE to a RU team who has been in the conference only 3 years and doesn't receive a full payout from the B1G until 2021 is garbage. Rutgers cannot afford to pay a coach and his staff over $7M per year yet the way Michigan can. I'm sure the fact that Jim's alma mater being down for a decade prior to his arrival has something to do with it. He seems personally hellbent on getting Michigan back to "being Michigan" and while I admire his drive to do so, running up scores vs. inferior opponents will not change the fact that Michigan lost to App State, Rutgers and have somewhat been owned by Michigan State and Ohio State in recent years. You want to roll it up on Sparty or the Buckeyes if you have the chance? I get that. But kicking the likes of Illinois, Rutgers and Northwestern while they are down is just being a scumbag. He is disgracing Bo's memory, not honoring it.

He will not be there more than 5 yrs total usually everyone gets tired of his antics by that point

He basically has 5 years to win the championship then he'll be back in the NFL. Given his personality, I can't imagine him not wanting redemption from losing the super bowl to his brother.

Seems like Im in the minority here, but I love Harbaugh's approach. That is the way men should compete during a competition. I just think you should be able to snap out of it once the whistle blows - maybe..

Don't we want our young men in this country to be able to accomplish great things? You need single-minded laser focus to do this. Nothing gets in your way, you play your game and leave it up to the competition to figure out how to stop you. Very arrogant, very beautiful

I agree I love his competitiveness. And good coaches are usually not the nicest guys. And I agree we signed up to be in the B1G and to find a way to be more competitive. That said, JH seems like he goes out of his way to be a d#ck whereas someone like Belichek is, well...just a dick by nature. Hard to explain I guess. And I take exception to the two 2-pt conversions he's tried vs us with the game in hand and I still say it's because we beat them before he got there and he wanted to jam it up our ass.

Crew is right. JH is all that is wrong with college sports. The two point conversion was complete BS.

He sucks as a person when he isnt on your side. I would be lying if i said i wouldnt love to have him as a coach. 100% through and through a football guy.

Harbaugh is a great coach that only his program can love. It's always been that way. The man wins and at places like Michigan that's what matters most, especially after the humiliating years under Rich Rod and Brady Hoke.

When you go to war (which I haven't) I'd expect to survive you'd want the sickest Mo Fo fighting next to you. But this isn't war. it is college football.

I am extremely competitive and like some of the physiological warfare this guy deploys..but he takes it way too far. I think he is a bit of a spoiled baby and /or was just not given the attention his bigger bro got growing up.

I find him to have a very competitive win at all cost personality. He's all in and doesn't care about hurt feelings and all that other stuff. He very might beat OSU and run the table in the B10 this year. I think Nebraska will get their 1st L against Wisconsin and another against OSU. This will pave the way for a B10 Title. But honestly that's where it ends for Michigan. I see a major beat down against Bama and losses to Clemson, Washington, Louisville or West Virginia assuming the playoffs started next week. Not enough speed on defense or offense.

This really should not factor into any opposing team's game planning or in game decisions.

I actually like the making the winners spring thing. I may use that at some point (not regularly).

It's not even acceptable in the NFL ... where Harbaugh was a major douchebag btw when he coached the Niners. Harbaugh is a classless pos.

I can't help but believe a lot but not all of it is an act. That doesn't make him less of a douche, just a sly douche.

I understand he was ticked about the spot. No matter the score you don't want to act like you'll accept a screw up like that by the refs. I also have no problem running on 4th down in that situation.

Of course I still hate the guy.

Even with a win at all cost mentality, one doesn't need a late 2 pt conversion when the game is at hand. He had already won.

Remember Schiano getting ridiculed by everyone when he had his Buccaneers attempt to force a fumble against the victory formation? That is basically what Harbaugh does every game but from the winning side.

My point is despite being in the same division and stealing our first game with them, we are not on a level playing field for those who would suggest we are. Going for 2 up by four TDs is a way to jam it up our cornhole.hes now done it twice.

OK, but your comment referenced our newness to the conference, not having a full payout, etc. This has absolutely nothing to do with how a coach would game plan or call a game.

So you are ok with him going for 2 up by four TD's when "the book" clearly doesn't call for it in that situation?

I think Mich is the best team in the country with the best player in the country. Not happy to say it, but do think it.

Are you referring to the 2 pt try this year vs Rutgers with 12 minutes left to play in the 2nd quarter? Because there was still 42 minutes left in the game. Or is it the one with 12 minutes left to play in the 3rd quarter last year of a slightly more competitive game (but still 27 minutes to play).

Neither one was exactly late in the game.

This year Harbaugh called the 2 point conversion play on each of Michigan's first 4 TDs but the players checked out of it on the first 3. On the 4th, Rutgers showed the look Michigan wanted so they took it. He wanted to practice the play. It worked so he never did it again.

Also hard to argue he runs up the score on teams when he has 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers running basic plays like fullback dives up the middle. What's he supposed to do, teach his teams to kneel on the ball in the 3rd quarter? He's an insanely competitive guy and he wants his players to never let up. He'll put in the walkons and call boring plays if the margin is big enough, but he still wants them trying as hard as they can when on the field which is fine by me.

At least!! I think Clemson and Florida State would beat them as well.

the same Clemson team that barely beat Troy and NC State at home?
and FSU? They have 2 losses and nearly have 4 (beat Miami by 1 point and needed epic comeback vs Ole Miss).

Alabama would rightly be favored over everybody in the country right now.

Harbaugh is creepy. I suspect in due time we'll all find out just how creepy he is.

I've been saying this for a while. It never ends well when a grown man is into having sleepovers with kids. Never ends well. Taking his shirt off, climbing trees...His frequently bizarre behavior is that of a sick man.

He's a classless A-hole. Michigan may be winning but he's embarrassing them in the process by showing a desperation to win and poor sportsmanship. His actions reflect poorly on the character of the University.
