The harsh reality is that we just don't have enough good players. This team has 3 high major players and it has really shown over the last 2 weeks. We have zero size and athleticism on the wings which absolutely kills us defensively and on the glass. Martini and Hayes have been so bad on defense that we don't even get the benefit of their shooting. They have both been 0's since Kennesaw. Derkack shot the ball in the first half but has struggled with high major athletes on the defensive end since Vegas. Thankfully Dylan and Ace are both so elite that this team can still win any game when they're red hot and they can obviously still make the tournament, I'm not calling their season in December, but I think it's pretty clear whatever expectations we had pre season need to be adjusted. It's just really disappointing because there's only so many adjustments Pike can make now. It's a personnel issue and Caleb McConnell or Mawot Mag aren't walking through those doors any time soon.
