Before the 1970s, the Steelers were like the NFL's equivalent to Rutgers, a hapless, mediocre team that was very bad at times.I didn't think it would happen this fast but I did think it was Fool's Gold.
OT, but this is a perfect example of why I have become a fan of every single Cleveland professional sports team since moving here in 2001. Not that hard to stand behind a team when all they do is win (COUGH, COUGH, STEELERS).
No. but I did expect regression towards their historical mean. The last 6 years have been the high water mark for their program. Coincidentally two of the blue blood in their conference were down over that period.
Well, Michigan I'll give you, but... OSU has been very strong.
