Wondering if college teams could have affiliates? EG. Nova can't take all the 5 star's ....they don't have room.

What if they develop a relationship with say...RUTGERS...and we get the surplus 5 and occasional 4 star that Nova can't take. Then after the season, depending on needs the process starts again.

Benefit: until Rutgers can return to the dance / prove it belongs- it will still be an uphill battle for us to land the SUPER STAR (think Sellers, Dabney, Jordan)..that we want / need.

We don't compete in the same league with Nova and there would be the possibility of individual team as well as possible league affiliations (e.g. Doubt the B1G will partner with ACC....but Big East, AAC seem possible).

Don't think this works as well for football...but who knows. I wouldn't mind blending Scarlet / Crimson (Bama ....not Harvard).

Not really, but I think (or know) college assistant coaches are not doing the legwork in a lot of cases....some coaches have no idea how to develop players and others bypass recruiting kids that can play, but aren't coachable.

I do know a lot of programs have a LOT of talent, but seemingly can't take the next step....it's not been RU's problem, we have lacked talent in recruiting consistent classes, but that's changing and I'm confident this staff will improve all of our players..... Everyone has a solid Top 7 players, but can they do multiple things on the court...??

To answer your question, I do tend to see the same types of players recruited by some specific programs around the country....or certain coaches are looking for a certain type of personality/player etc...As talented as Duke has been in recent years, if anyone has changed their gameplan on recruiting, it's been Duke....they used to recruit hard-nosed 3 and 4 year players that wanted to be in school (a rare Greyson Allen type of player, more than Marvin Bagley)....instead they went with the 1 and done route, since Kentucky was "out-recruiting them".....

Not sure if Villanova will stray from their successful strategy that has allowed them to be in the Top 5 the last 3 years, but going after 1 & Dones.....my guess is they wont....
