Everyone assumes he's doing a great job at Houston going undefeated including myself. However, look at his wins UCF 0-9, Texas State 0-4, SMU 1-6, Louisville 4-4, Tulane 2-5, Tulsa 3-5. His first year with Levine recruits which are mostly junior and seniors starters. He may or may not be a good coach but it really is too early. USC might make a mistake making him their HC. His current year recruit is average.

I don't know why Houston is ranked with those teams.

Tony Levine might be our cheap HC went 5-7, 8-5 and 7-5 before being fired.

He's beating whomever is on his schedule and a lot of times handily. He'll have to play Memphs/Navy later on in the year too. His half of the conference is the harder half so we'll see more later on. The other thing is he's been a long time OC capped with his tenure at the side of Meyer where he produced very good offenses and as we saw last year was able to adapt to 3 different qbs on the way to a national championship. He's also known to be a top recruiter.

Nothing is guaranteed, he could be flop too if/when he steps up but put that whole track record together and I like it. I would've gambled on him even 2 years ago.

BTW Fuente at Memphis is in a close one against Tulane. Just up 15-13 after the half.

Rutgers should gamble on him but USC, USCe, and Miami would be stupid to gamble on him right now.

Well good for us if they feel that way but his name along with Fuente are the 2 hottest out there.
Fuente has more history as HC and I would be more confident with his record. Remember Flood looked great his first year with Schiano players.

I would take Tony Levine for HC. He isn't working this year.

Yup but I also take into account Herman's OC years and his time with Meyer. Same for Fuente under Patterson. Depending on the career track record I kind of bunch it all together to a degree. Of course the more you see the better but look how hot he's become just on his 1 year as HC and time at OC. I'd like to see more too but by then he'll likely be way out of reach it's good. I mean as is he's likely out of reach.
