So f*cking what? They were #1 in Total D when we had that conversation. They aren't now. Move on.
Isn't this the same fanbase who claimed they "beat us" in 2012 because they had more total yards despite losing on the scoreboard? And the team has shown improvement 2 straight weeks.

They were never a "good defense".... Playing offense dogs and a low level schedule can make anybody look good.
They played well against ONE "quality opponent." Yes, I'll give them that. They also had the right personnel already in their system, for Babers O, and didn't lose an entire class worth of kids the past couple of years who should be jr's and sr's in the 2-deep. Oh and, yeah, they got crushed by Wake Forest. :smiley:
They have a couple of nice wins but I think we'd beat BC too if we played them next week. Still their fans coming over here to agitate over "moral victories" need to revisit how many times they claimed they beat us despite losing in the scoreboard (2008, 2011 &2012). Pretty funny actually.
Kight: I agree the Cuse poster is looking to flame. All I'm saying is that their performance against LSU last year and this year against BC and V-Tech is nothing to sneeze at if you ask me. If I were Clemson I wouldn't be looking past Syracuse because right now they're playing solid ball on both sides of the ball. Yes, I agree with you and Nuts the Cuse poster could tone it down a bit.
fyi - game is in Death Valley. Clemson wakes up from FSU-blowout "hangover" the previous week, by 2nd quarter, and wins by 45'ish is my guess.
Has there been a team luckier than Clemson this year. Look at some of those wins. But I agree with you they should beat Cuse. However, I don't believe it's going to be the beat down you think it's going to be. Cuse is playing well against quality competition and next year we will be much improved and in 2018 if all goes well we should finish the season 8-4 and with a few fortunate breaks 9-3.
Whenever I hear the expression doesnt hold water I think of the very lovely Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinnie. And then I :sunglasses::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
