Rutgers president not expected to seek contract extension, could leave next year​

The author is a pretty miserable human being, but is typically knowledgeable.

He, or someone behind him, could certainly be wish casting here.

I wouldn't blame anybody for not wanting to be a university president anywhere. Plus we have the special sauce that is NJ and RU.
